Have you had your eyes checked? Most people look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them but I don't drink or watch any sports.... I do enjoy watching my friends get drunk. It's fun conversating with them when they can't hardly stand. It's hilarious but it's also kind of sad at the same time.

Hispanic people say "turn the candle off". That just kills me.... There's no switch on a candle. They say "get off the car" when you're not riding ON the car but IN the car. There's a few more I can't think of right now..

I agree with some that have posted. I believe we should enjoy the fruits of our labor no matter what we make because really material things are pointless in the grand scheme of things and tomorrow is not promised to us today. We could build up a huge amount of wealth just to die tomorrow and give it to someone who hasn't worked for it and won't appreciate it (and will probably lose it eventually). Either you believe that there is a higher calling or you believe that life is pointless, either way, live for today. With that said, I'm very surprised to see the <$30k so high. You would think with the money people are dropping everyone made at least $75k. haha

A 383 similarly built will get to whatever rpm you want faster than a 302 similarly built simply because the 383 will accelerate faster. If you would like, I would go so far as to say the 383 will rev just as fast as a 302 without a load also. In this case, the more power you make the faster something will "rev". If you ever come down here send me a pm. I've never visited personally with anyone who has done any sort of engine swap so I will enjoy it. I'll show you how fast a 383 can rev

A 302 will not get to it's peak rpm faster than a larger cubic inch engine similarly built. When you say easier that is arguable also, valve train parts don't know what's rotating below them (i.e. if you had the same valve train in both and spun both engines to the same red line they would both last just as long unless you take into the fact that the larger cubic inch engine will get to its red line faster which would theoretically cause more wear).

It would seem to me that for half that price (about 6k) you could build a boosted V8 and still make 600/600 all day. Is that really that far-fetched?
