MONGO510
I picked up a new S30 for my latest project. After totaling the last love of my life ( http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/81300-mongos-z-car-build/ ), I was unsure of what I wanted to do next. I was chatting with RTZ(Ron Tyler) and he offered me a couple of vehicles he had at his disposal. One was a 77 280Z and the other was a late 260Z. I was familiar with both vehicles so I bought them both. The 280, sans engine and trany, will become a dedicated Race Car and will receive all of the running gear from the totaled car and should be ready to run for next years NHA .Hillclimb series. The late 260Z is the real gem. This car is for all intents and purposes rust free. It will receive the running gear from 280 and will become a sporty Sunday driver. Here is a pic of the 260Z. Neverdone
You mean you didn't try to get him to throw in all his BMW crap that was in the 260?
MONGO510
Glad to see your back on track to making another beast as well as the sunday cruiser... The new race car should be even faster as it wont have any street equipment onboard.
JMortensen
It's nice to have a dedicated race car. No compromises. Street car sounds pretty sweet too. Good luck with them.
emeraldlion
I know this thread is pretty old, but was cruizing the board today, and after sticking with mongo's last build I was wondering where this has gone. Very interested to know if any progress has been made Mongo!
