brianZortiz
I recently bought a header to remove smog ports, air pump, and a nice sound and maybe a little performance gain. The seller claimed it was a nissan Comp header, so I bought it even if it isnt a Nissan Comp, I got a good price on it. The header has slight surface rust and its actual coating is chrome and the Header tubes are really thick. They are thicker than the MSA. How can I identify if its Nissan Comp or something else. Here are some pics. Hope you guys can help me ID the header.

brianZortiz
I have seen that picture, but I think they made more, not just that one. I could be wrong.
roger280zx
They may have, I have never owned one and have only seen one (off of car) a half dozen times or so. The one you have there sertainly does not look like Nismo to me though.

johnc
That's a generic header, not one from Nissan Comp (Motorsports).
Leon
Time for some shameless pic whoring! My Nissan Motorsports Comp header: I believe what you have is indeed the MSA 3-2 header. If you can't tell, I have an unnatural lust, fetish if you will, for Z headers!
Xnke
Yep, that's a Pacesetter Header, also sold by MSA and Blackdragon Automotive/Victoria British.
BluDestiny
I would pay $120 max for that header in that condition. It would cost more to sandblast and coat them. They look almost like my coated headers I got from MSA but the welds on the flange were flat, like it had been decked. Yours look like they left some. not sure why. You may have a thicker flanger also.
srgunz
I had that header on my 240Z. Well used, I would pay only $25 max.
brianZortiz
Thanks guys, I guess it's not. The pricing part, we are all entitled to our own opinion.
josh817
We can be header buddies. Wall art.
Leon
We can be header buddies. Wall art. Nice! They make for great wall art, I love walking into the garage to do laundry only to find myself staring at the headers.
roger280zx
Haha, I have an Arizona Z header that has been sitting in my attick for years. I finally took it out a few weeks ago just to hang it on the wall in the garage. All that beuty hidden away in an attick just isn't right. josh817
I've been wanting to buy one suited for my purpose but I doubt any of you header hogs want to share the love for some cash trade.
cockerstar
Can I join? I need to weld a new flange onto mine and straighten everything out... I was considering selling it, but I have a matching exhaust, so I think it will go in the newest Z. Way too much header for a bone stock engine, but it should be nice and loud! No can do, I'm a header hoarder. Can I join? I need to weld a new flange onto mine and straighten everything out... I can assure you that it will be nice and loud!
TJs 2+2
... If you can't tell, I have an unnatural lust, fetish if you will, for Z headers! What make is the one on the right? I just picked up a used one on ebay.
Leon
What make is the one on the right? I just picked up a used one on ebay. On the right is a Clifford Research header, the one on the left is a Hooker Super Comp. Both are NLA, along with many other Z headers.
