richie2619
I'm sure there are folks who have info like this already but I wanted to share something I found. lantech.com has sleeves that are 12mm od 10mm id and 10mm long. p/n 000457A I based that on an 11mm thick flange for mounting the ring gear. If the flange is thinner than that, p/n 000456A is the same as above but 8mm long.

m1ghtymaxXx
Wish I had seen this when Mcmaster & Carr told me they couldn't sell me a private order to Canada. I ended up making my own spacers by cutting ribbons of 20 ga. sheet metal and heating and rolling them into sleeves. It was hateful.
NewZed
If you search around you'll find that some of the pros say they're not even necessary. Clamping force is key. The ring gear should never slip at all, so the bushings/shims/space fillers should never feel a thing.
richie2619
I'd like to think that's true. Something about throwing 400 lb ft of torque at it makes me feel that it's got to shift. Especially with 10in wide tires. At 2 bucks a piece, I'll have more peace of mind. I promise you I've wasted $20 on worse!
johnc
I don't know why this is so hard for some folks...http://metric-steel.spahrmetric.com/item/tubing/metric-round-tubing/019508-12-01-010-0 http://www.speedymetals.com/pc-3411-8242-12-od-x-0035-wall-dom-steel-tube.aspx http://www.onlinemetals.com/merchant.cfm?pid=466&step=4&showunits=inches&id=19&top_cat=
richie2619
Maybe because I wasn't born with this information in my head.
johnc
Neither was I. There's this thing called Google that helps you find things. Works very well. Try it some day.
