ZX dizzy reluctor part

I have a ZX dizzy that the reluctor is cracked. The reluctor I am referring to is the stator part of the pick up that is held down by three screws. Maybe someone has a parts dizzy?

I have several of those pieces and yes they do crack after many miles of use. Send a p/m to my in box if interested.

The stator ring (with the inward teeth) of mine has wear marks from the reluctor (the inner rotor with outward teeth).  I've noticed that Rockauto sells the bushing for the ZX distributor and wondered why.  I think that's it.  Anyone with a ZX distributor would probably do well to replace the bushing sooner than later.  Maybe you need a bushing also.

On the parts and the magnet assembly.  The magnet assembly is called out as a separate part.  I assume that JMortensen bought the pickup coil (with the wires),or the stator, and it came with no magnet.

22163 is the part # on the link provided-just so we are all on the same page. My stator is broke right at the bushing. The dizzy itself has had a hard life. Almost all the hardware was stripped out.

It's not the bushings that cause the stator and reluctor to hit each other IME. It's the vacuum advance mechanism. Again, its' been years, but as I recall you have two metal plates that ride on 3 tiny ball bearings which are captured by a plastic plate with 3 holes in it. I've taken a few apart, and they've all been broken. When the balls get out of position, the top plate that holds the stator tilts and the reluctor hits it. JR Demers had a great page about how to check bushings and it dealt with all the tear down and all that. My stator was CHEWED UP, but my bushings were nice and tight.

Hey look! It's still there!

I'd suggest you disable the vacuum advance permanently via welding or similar. I JB Welded mine before I had a welder and ran it like that for a while with no problems.
