Which Electric Power Steering?

Does anyone have any direct experience with the electric power steering units out there? Specifically Z Power steering vs Silver Mine. I know one is cheaper but I'd rather 'Buy once, cry once'

Vtdds71 talks about his experience with the ZPS unit on the last two pages of this thread. 

 

 

I believe @dmoralesbello has a ZPS unit as well.

 

@primaz talks about his Silvermine kit in this thread.

There are quite a few people who have gone the Saturn Vue or Toyota Yaris route as well. I think there's another person or two on the forum with the Silvermine kit, but I can't remember who at the moment.

Thanks for the link, I did a search but I didn't see those. I'll look into what goes into the conversions, but having a ready made kit is very tempting.

I think he planned or has a conversion for S30.

 

I don't need/use power steering but in general I like the quality of my CV shafts that I got from Fritz. Silvermine...I am on the fence. I give fabricators and those who design/make their own parts at the top of my list.

I have the silver mine kit , super easy install within a few hours and regretted I didn’t install this from day one . Worth every penny .
