jeffp Posted November 18, 2002 Share Posted November 18, 2002 looks like one of the center main caps went out to lunch. Thats why the 4 bolt main block is used for serious power. I got to se a sb chevy with part of the block missing in the rear of the engine after it detonated the main cap, no pretty. Need some work before they could be reused (snapped stud or two) but they look to be the same. Big ram's horn looking things... This is why stock Ford blocks shouldn't be taken much past 450HP.
