80LS1T
I love how those tires & rims sit on that car! Nice and fat and just plain old sexy! I cant say I car for the drivetrain though? I mean come on atleast turbo it! The car looks like it can handle some serious HP/TQ but that NA L28 sure aint going to push the limits of that high tech chassi! I dont care if it does have 325HP. Its probably very peaky and not a very wide power band. Gimme a L28ET or V8 man! Guy
JMortensen
80LT1, that is a RACE CAR. Built to class specs. Weren't they asking ~$60K for that about a year ago? DP is the guy who does the Nissan Comp oil pans. That car should be as good as it gets...

preith
I posted this think back when there was a classifieds on the forum section, about 6 months ago. Wow, the price has come down considerably! http://www.race-cars.com/carsales/other/1062560599/1062560599ss.htm
johnc
Unfortunately you're going to see a lot of old SCCA GT cars for sale real cheap. Rule changes are going to make them expensive to update. I've seen this car up close and the workmanship is fantastic. If you bought the car for the asking price, you could part it out and maybe make a profit.
Z-Dreamer
johnc, why don't you pick it up and then part it out here! Mark
johnc
Hah! I've still got parts left from the Rusty Old Datsun that I'm trying to sell!

Rule changes are going to make them expensive to update. I've heard alot of talk about this, but as far as I know everything is still up in the air. What are some of the changes that are, or probably going to happen?
Heavy Z
Nice race car, could use some shorter velocity stacks for the air filter to work properly.

Rule changes are going to make them expensive to update. John, What changes will make them expensive to update? The only only thing I've seen is the weight penalty for IRS. I was thinking about picking up a GT-2 Datsun if one came up in my price range.
johnc
I'll have to go back through my Fastracks. I seem to recall an end to the grandfather clause that let cars run with current out-of-spec roll cages (cages built prior to 1995).
preith
Even though I'm not an SCCA member anymore, I did receive an issue of Sportscar recently. The fastrack did mention possibly changing the 100lb IRS penalty to something like 2% of the minimum GCR listed weight.
