It has been driven just 86 miles. This is an insurance claim settlement vehicle. Looking at the pictures, how "readily repairable" is that damage? I dont think i'd ever buy from them, because i figured that if insurance didnt want to fix it due to some ungodly costs, i wouldnt want to either. My father owns a body shop and you'd be suprised at what we can bring back to life. As of now me and my dad are working on a project saab. Mikelly Posted February 3, 2005 Share Posted February 3, 2005 One problem you'd run into immediately is parts sourcing. The big issue GM is running into right now is keeping production lines rolling. The New C6 is selling faster than anticipated and that is driving parts production away from stock and onto assembly lines... There are a number of people who have had issues with warranty work (New model gremlins) taking longer than anticipated. So sourcing all the "replacements" in that chassis is gonna be a hard one... There was a beautiful C5, metallic blue (which is now also the color of the GT ) with a ding in the right 1/4 panel. Well, I went back today and the same Vette was there. That car could have been totally destroyed and the paperwork and vin plates alone would have been worth 35k.
