caption: Here's a brand new Corvette C6 that sustained readily repairable collision damage while on a test drive from a Chevrolet dealership. It has been driven just 86 miles. This is an insurance claim settlement vehicle.

Looking at the pictures, how "readily repairable" is that damage?

Here's a Lamborghini Murcielago with "readily repairable damage" also...

I've been checking out this site for a few years now, some nice cars every now and then. I dont think i'd ever buy from them, because i figured that if insurance didnt want to fix it due to some ungodly costs, i wouldnt want to either.

Unibody damage, or frame damage doesn't mean the car isnt fixable. My father owns a body shop and you'd be suprised at what we can bring back to life. As of now me and my dad are working on a project saab. Ill link up some pics.

look at the one with Viggen in the title.

That is actually one of the easier cars we've had in the shop. I can say that that corvette is definitely fixable, along with the murcielago.

One problem you'd run into immediately is parts sourcing. The big issue GM is running into right now is keeping production lines rolling. The New C6 is selling faster than anticipated and that is driving parts production away from stock and onto assembly lines... There are a number of people who have had issues with warranty work (New model gremlins) taking longer than anticipated.

So sourcing all the "replacements" in that chassis is gonna be a hard one...

Next question is how you get a Murcielago upside down! That is one interesting story I'd love to hear... Dumb asses abound...

I was at the bodyshop about 2 weeks ago checking on the progress of my little Opel GT. There was a beautiful C5, metallic blue (which is now also the color of the GT :-D ) with a ding in the right 1/4 panel.

Well, I went back today and the same Vette was there. I said...you guys are really taking your time with this car.....nope...it was back with more crash damage!!

Vette drivers!! :shock::roll::wink:

AHHHHHHHH!!! Someone got a US registered Skyline for 12.8k!!!

End of page 3!

That car could have been totally destroyed and the paperwork and vin plates alone would have been worth 35k. (And it looked like it was in decent shape!)

*sniff*
