Guest ON3GO
i got a ride in one.. they arent very loud when your just driving normal.. when its at WOT its so damn loud. car feels very heavy and stiff, but it just sticks to the road. very very very cool car. felt like a faster and lower and mean Ferrari 550 that i got to drive around. mike
LS1240Z
Was this the one you seen http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/sowhatsitcalled/images/21murcielago_20040407_004.jpg
TheNeedForZ
Saw a red murcielago coupe once at a traffic light....right next to me. He had to merge as soon as the light turned green, so I "let him" go ahead of me. It's the first top dollar exotic car I've seen.
zguy95135
Cool. Ive only seen one while going through Napa Its incredible how much they weigh though, its curb weight is 4500
Trecani
On top gear, the Lancer Evo VIII out performed it by a pretty large margin, definantly out-syles it though.
crazy280
http://www.roadandtrack.com/article.asp?section_id=3&article_id=663&page_number=9 The Murcielago is an awsome car even though its pig heavy. I went to Infineon today to watch the IRL qualifying/practice sessions, and I saw a brand new, just came out, Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. It was dark red (maybe maroon) and GORGEOUS. Everything I have read about this car says it weighs about 3650#
crazy280
The link I posted to "Road and Track" quotes 4010 lbs for the Murcielago. That's still heavy, but quite a bit less than 4500 lbs.
zguy95135
I think it was in road&track, anyways they had a bunch of supercars and it said it was 4500
Guest 73TPIZ
I just checked with http://www.nadaguides.com and it said 3638 lbs for the '04 Murcielago. Tried to link the page but LINKY NO WORKY. Enter in any car and when you get to the value page, scroll down and the curb weight is usually listed. I use the site more for the weights than for the values. I've come to trust NADA on the weights. The last 4 vehicles i put on the digital truck scales at work NADA has hit the weight within 50 lbs every time. FWIW, i don't remember the exact weight of my '73 w/ the 6 in it, but i know its 2460 now and seem to recall the conversion added ~100 lbs to the car. NADA says 2350 lbs for a stock '73. That seems pretty close to what i remember. Later guys,
Ivan280zt
I drove yellow one with 125 milles on it and that thing was not quiet by any means but it did have upgraded factory exhaust and this was also roadster. Ivan
Thumper
Top Gear's website lists the Murcielago as 1650kg. What equals 3637.62lbs So that seems spot on with edmunds. From what I've found top gear is just about never wrong on there specs. Still sweet car. I'll take 2 please:twisted:
JMortensen
Wonder if the US version has heavier crash bumpers. Remember those butt ugly bumpers on the Countach?
