280Z28
Stay safe y'all. My dad says he will make his final decision on Thursday on what to do, but right now he thinks he's going to stay. He's a bit west of Houston and not right on the gulf, but I dunno.... If your house in MS was above sea level, how far inland did you have to be before you could stay during Katrina and be safe? He's here: My g/f's family is in Sugar Land to our south, and her roommate's family is east of her, about where the 'n' in Sugar Land is. My g/f panics easily, so now I'm "in trouble" for telling her that this storm could be bad so she needs to make sure she's ready.
RB26powered74zcar
I'm getting a bit worried for my Z, its only in a alum car port. I live right in the bottom left portion of "the boot" when you look at the shape of Louisiana. We are in the projected path this time.... The way it looks now is even if we miss a direct hit, we will catch the NE side of that bitsh, which is the worst area of a hurricane... All I can say is STAY AWAY FROM ME IN LAKE CHARLES, LA.!!!! please.....
Cjarloz
y dont you rent a rental space at like uhaul or something and park the car in there til this blows over. its what i would do.

Guest 73Turbo240z
i've shored up the Z's in the garage, were preparing the house right now, wish us all luck i guess... i'm in north houston so i don't think water will be a problem, nothing beyond what we face w/ allison in 01' cause she stalled and just dumped tons of water on us. the winds however, do have me concearned since my garage is next to a huge tree, power lines, the tool shed, pretty much all the worst stuff from Twister. Oh, and it's my birthday on the 23rd... so Rita is crashing my birthday :-
Cody 82 ZXT
Just wanted to say good luck and stay safe to all the Z'ers down south of me. Let me know if I can help.
DCZ
When hurricanes come this way, I take my Z and park it in the biggest sturdiest concrete parking garage, away from the edges on the second story. It's protected from flooding, trees and most flying debris.
Nismo280zEd
I'm headn't to my rents house friday after work to ride it out with my step mom. this is expected to be a cat 5 before 6oclock news tonight. I'm not worried about flooding up in the woods, just the winds, tons of stuff to break windows. I wish everyone the best. -Ed

280Z28
The pressure has fallen to below 899mb. For official purposes, it has been recorded as 898, although it could be lower. This is now the third most powerful atlantic hurricane ever recorded.
