FM RECIEVERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No, i'm focused on "bang for buck." I have a good ear for sound quality, but I find it amazing what you can get for a 10k setup. And honestly, my most recomended setup to people is the bose system. I've never heard a system better than thiers that's a complete setup for anything near thier price. It might seem expensive, but to have other comanies sell you something similar would cost more than double. And thier main reciever is one of the best units on the market. It's basically a full on computer that can take LP & cds and such, and encode them into a fairly accurate 5.1 and store them on an internal hard drive. Forget pulling out the LP player all the time, just sit down one weekend and get everyting put into the main unit and you're set. Prestine LP quality availible for easy listening. It also has the ability to act as a central hum for other bose systems so multiple rooms can listen off the hard drive at once. Nifty stuff. I personally could set up a system to do all this, but it would cost me as much, if not more than what they're asking. Once I get a real job, i want to buy one of these for my dad. http://www.elpj.com/ At 15k it's a great deal for what it is. If you know anything about sound you udnerstand that analog CAN be much superior to digital. A product like this is the perfect harmony of D & A tech. The media is analog, wich has 100x more intormation on it than CDs but a digital reader. Wich alows virtually no hiss, pop, abient noise, ect that a needle has. And a laser is as close to analog as a digital amplifier is, so there's no real quality loss there. Most quality loss is in the media. Anyone can feel free to PM me for more info/opinions. I feel I've hijacked this thred enough. SORRY!
