The HybridZ shirt does bring some interesting comments sometimes. At the second day drivers meeting at a track event this past weekend, a guy notices my shirt and says "Are you the guy with the white 240Z?" I replied yes, he shakes his head and says "I don't see how you drive that thing". I didn't really know what he was meaning, and said "It takes some getting used to, but it's a lot of fun to drive". He shook his head again, and said "You're insane".

Still trying to figure that one out.....

I actually have my current girlfriend because of my Hybrid Z t-shirt. I was standing in line waiting to buy a ticket to get into Summerfest, and she asked me what my shirt meant (she was standing behind me). I told her about the site and she also knew what a Datsun 240Z and a Buick Grand National was too! I bought her a ticket, we both went in, and we have been together ever since. Had I been wearing a plain shirt, I never would have met this beautiful woman. :-D

JT1, Jody mentioned he met you last weekend, and that you pretty much were flying low everywhere out there...

All the guys at the Corvette section at the track days know about HybridZ because of my shirts, hats, stickers, and the online pics of my project cars, yours, and Mark I.'s!

They all think we're nuts! :2thumbs:

John C., CLASSIC story! :lmao:

a few times i went to local car meets with my hybridz hat and shirt on to where all the fast domestics and imports hang out.

i talked to a few people and i asked one guy if his turbo'ed NSX was fast, what he said made my day "well its quick but it cant compete with 98% of your cars.." i sorta was puzzled and said "my cars? what you mean" he went "hybridz (points to my shirt), that sites members cars are insane!"

hahah i was sooooo wow'ed that a NSX guy knew what hybridz was....

i even had a few 240sx guys ask me if i could put a LS1 in there S13's.. lol

This forum is by far the most helpful and insightful I have found on the internet. I've been on Freshalloy, Supra forums, Vette forums, etc... Most of them are junk. However, I have found a few helpful gems here and there. This is what I've found:

For Honda stuff:

http://www.hondaswap.com

http://www.honda-tech.com (not in the "normal" forums. Browse the welding/fab,

swap/hybrid, and forced induction areas. The welding/fab one is especially

helpful)

Ford stuff:

http://www.svtsnake.com

http://www.modularfords.com

http://www.svtperformance.com (Good detailing section under the show n' shine

heading. Tons of videos in the pictures/videos and the Cobra section

is quite helpful)

Misc:

http://www.msefi.com

http://www.bobistheoilguy.com (Awesome oil info)

There probably are a few others, but I can't remember at the moment.

That kind of information isn't told' date=' it's seen.[/quote']

Well put! This has been a great discussion.

I walked into Motorsports Auto's showroom the other day to buy some stuff for my 1971. One customer was standing around talking to a few of the other customers about his turbo'd 240Z. When he claims that his L6 is making 500hp and runs on regular gas it gets my interest. I walk up and ask the guy what turbo and what EMS he's running to get that power. He looks at me and looks at my HybridZ t-shirt and says, "Well, it really doesn't make that much power."

LOL!! Reality bites for those that live in fantasy, doesn't it?
