madkaw
Dave, just curious if you have sent the replacement parts for the tool yet? thanks Steve
madkaw
I want to say a special thanks to Dave for his help and the use of the spindle puller program. Although one side gave me fits and I broke the tool, Dave came thru with the replacement parts and I was able to remove the other side easily. I have sent the tool back as of 09/24 for someone else to use. One thing I noticed when removed the pin with the tool was the markings inside the spindle bore. I have posted a pic which isn't very good but you will see what looks like a drag mark that was -maybe left from the original install? It is possible(but unlikely with such low miles) that this pin was changed before but the mark is NOT fresh, it is looks old. The mark starts at the edge of the bore and ends at the set bolt. I just thought it looked strange.

Dave
Got the puller back today from madkaw and its ready to send again. There are still a couple loaners out that have not been sent back yet. The puller went out to "poortecher" this evening. Unless the other 2 loaners make it back soon I have no loaners. Gary (beandip) over at classiczcars.com has his back so there are backups if you contact him.
poortecher
Dave, I'm sorry to say that I broke the tool. The heli-coiled threads that attach to the pin pulled right out and stripped the threads inside of the threaded rod. One side popped out no problem, but the other side is really frozen I guess. I thought I'd drill it out a size bigger, bottom a bolt in the hole, and re-drill and tap the center. Let me know what you'd like me to do. Thanks, Eric

Thank's 240 Al 240 Al, I think at the moment you are 2 down on the waiting list. I have 3 of the pullers out on loan to members and and am not having much luck in getting them returned in a timely manor. I have not had a loaner ready to go out since the last one went out several months ago. I need find a way to get a speedy turn around with these pullers so others can use them.
