Race Gas Dyno Numbers

Guys

Got a chance to get back on the dyno last week (9-10-2007) before hitting up the drag strip (which led to the torture of an innocent output shaft.

I am happy with the results, car is still picking up 20rwhp per 1psi of boost.

Stock RB26 Block

ARP Headstuds

Tomei 1.2mm HG

Stock Head w/Tomei Type A poncams

Full-Race Twin Scroll Manifold

Garrett GT4202-74mm

Twin Tial 44mm Wastegates

Full 4" exhaust

3" IC piping

Duall Walbro Fuel pumps w/1000cc injectors

Torco 112 Fuel

Dyno Chart, 24psi, 1 Smoothing Factor

Video of the run

Pull was from 60mph to 140mph

Probably will not push the car anymore this year, power-wise, as its still on stock block, and no need to ruin a good block before the build begins this winter. 1000HP or bust :D

Well cool those are good numbers. I made 610 at the wheels at 25 PSI on My motor. This was on a stock motor on a ♥♥♥♥ rom tune on pump gas (japan).... looking forward to making 700Plus on race gas at the same PSI!!!!

good job

Good luck buddy

I think the next step is an auto , before I build it up.....seriously

I would highly recommend it. My buddy up here is dynoing 620 with his vg and he has broken a turbo diff input shaft with teh triplle plate clutch. So swapping to a turbo diff wont be a reliable upgrade ;<

My car is an original TT :)

I have the R230 rear end and all that fancy 'beefy' stuff already :)

WOW! Nice numbers with only 24 lbs of boost! bgiorno.gif

I am hoping for mid to high 10's if all the drivetrain parts hold together :)

......

Thanks

Speaking of your busted drive train parts... I posted a question for you regarding your busted R-230 output shafts in this thread below as it has me just a little bit concerned..

Busted output shafts...

Thank you,

Paul

super sweet man. that vid made me all giddy like a school girl

makes me kinda wish i bought an RB26 instead of the RB25

I'm sure you can pull similar numbers from a slightly modded RB25. Go for it :-)

(prepping the RB25 with price of engine included would end up being same as RB26 in stock form at some engine outfitters)
