Mikelly
So therefore we're making the category open to the public. Please go online to NissanSport and check out the video links and other related data. Also, note that there was an error in the spreadsheed. I sent them the wrong sheet in a JPEG, then sent them the correct RAW data that they had. Unfortunately due to a mix up in communication and my stupidity for creating a JPEG of the WRONG data in the first place, the data on the stock Z is incorrect. The CD was higher than it should be. They will print a correction in the next issue. Mike

datman
Great work guys. So what's the outcome on the hood vents? nearer the front of the car is better or keep them up near the top? I'm about to fit some so this info would be really helpful.
jmark
Nice job Mike. Just got my issue yesterday. I am curious where you got the Nismo 350Z data from. I haven't seen any numbers published. Thanks.
Mikelly
Those numbers came from Nissan. I'm not at liberty to say how they were gotten, but they were provided to me. I did not obtain them... Ask Nissan Sport! As a note of comparison, My 996TT with GT2 Rear wing is pulling similar numbers to the NISMO 350Z... That NISMO package is no joke gang! mull
After watching some of the vids, I can't help but wonder; why only use yarn and not the usual windtunnel smoke-thingy? : ) It's easier to see smoke than itsy bitsy pieces of yarn, even on my 30" screen... (and yes, I'm VERY thankful for the tests, just so noone gets any ideas)
Mikelly
Time and Money. The Rigging up the floor of the tunnel for smoke is very time consuming and the cost to set it up and then run tests would have impacted our ability to test the parts... Remember, we got 28 test done. We'd have gotten 1/4 of those tests completed had we used smoke. Mike

zmaster
Ohhhh ok.... so would 404.84 front be bad right????
Tombarace14
I would suggest going thru and reading the stickys in The windtunnel area. You should be looking at a number more like .404 or a weight in Lbs. More Important is what are you planning on doing with the car and what parts you plan on using. Then using the data make the correct mods to make everything work as a "PACKAGE". Not to just try to fix one part of the car.
