They used to be considered an old fogey marque, now they're cranking out - and selling - stuff like this. Slapping a Caddy badge on a Suburban did wonders for the brand. Pete84 Posted March 28, 2008 Share Posted March 28, 2008 Was hoping that the engine was the same, just detuned as in the ZR1, but alas, it has the Eaton R1900 s/c and the supervette has the R2300. Wonder how long it will take for say, Lingenfelter, to offer a R2300 replacement. Heck, those guys got 630bhp / 570lb/ft on the Z06, just by doing their magic for like 10.5K. There's a larger-diameter prop shaft, and asymmetric halfshafts (one side is a 55mm-diameter unit, the other 35mm) to help reduce wheelhop under full power launches).
