240Z_Master
Yeah and he got it from them. Ha, right on. Might want to get a hood just for MSA goodies. Tax refunds must be good for something.

240Z_Master
fits great you just have to make a good pair of mounting brackets, You're basically telling me that this hood is a piece of molded C/F? ANd that you have to fab some brackets and epoxy it to the hood? Please tell me no.

240Z_Master
I believe it is fiberglass with carbon fiber on top, but why are you upset that he had to put his own brackets on? I'm just ranting for no reason. Excuse me. The hood does look pretty nice and I might give it a go for that price.
SR240Z
Q, you dont epoxy the brackets onto the hood. The hood itself has the mounting holes for you to install the brackets once you make them...

240Z_Master
yes , it has mounting holes so you just bolt up the brackets. That's what I thought. I've seen the MSA ones and they had these little L shaped brackets on them that all you had to do was bolt to the existing 4 bolts on the hinges on the Z. Careless
it probably has to do with the fact that a lot of z's are so warped out of shape in the front, that putting brackets on the hoods from the manufacturer could render it useless to many ppl who would have to pay a lot for shipping to get it in their hands. LOL. just a guess?
