unofootball43
Ok I'm going to get my 76' 280z in for paint this summer and I was wondering which wings do you guys think look the best on the car. I want to go with a wing and not just a spoiler and I've already shaved off the rear bumper. Personally I'm stuck between the standard wing, the F40, and the mini ducktail from the Z Store. I'm just asking for people's opinions and feel free to post some pics. Thanks!
Tx1021
I'm really not a fan of the the f40 wing... its too modern for the z imo. I would have to say that the Bre style are my favorite.
Administrators BRAAP Posted March 6, 2008 Administrators Share Posted March 6, 2008 So is this aerodynamic device going to function as designed, to add some down force/add stability at high track speeds, or for "ahem" cosmetic reasons? TrumpetRhapsody
I'm purusing through wing choices as well. I plan to add one purely for aero reasons... so much so that I might try to make it easily removable for street use. I'm just not a huge fan of the look (ahem, dang ricer association). I must say though, Mikelly's looks aaaaamazing. His style might just be worth me leaving on all the time.
Savage42
I'm partial to the California Wing.

Savage42
I don't want to hijack the thread, so I'll start up a thread covering the current assembly of the car. I started a thread on the assembly here: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=131182
z-ya
In a couple weeks I'll be involved with making molds of a bunch of BSR fiberglass parts. One being this rear spoiler: A lot like the BRE, but taller. I'll post photos.
sweetride2go
heres a 'whale tail', which in my opinion, are too big, but i kept it anyways because it fits with the body kit... im not shure how functional it is, i doubt they are, oh and it only looks good from the back... =)
unofootball43
In response to "BRAAP", a little bit of both. Cuz of college and football I really won't have time to race but in the summer I usually spend a few days out at the drag strip.
MJLamberson
I dont want to hijack the thread but I am not familiar with BSR,,, anybody want to clue me in? I think any wing/spoiler CAN look good, but it depends on color, body kit/airdam... to each his own

I've been wanting a BSR spoiler for a while now.... will you be making molds of the flares as well? The BSR Z is my fave and I'd love to finally have body stylings for my Z! --rat
capt_furious
Ohhh...VERY nice spoiler on the BSR Z. Anyone know what angle that sits at? If it's 30 degrees, I'd be all over it...looks a bit steeper than that, though.

z-ya
Would anyone know where to get ahold of this wing? That is Roostmonkey's car. I'm fairly sure you can get it from MSA.
260Mopar
That is Roostmonkey's car. I'm fairly sure you can get it from MSA. Thanks for the reply. That is a wing that MSA carried in the past and it's even pictured in the catalog. There is no number or price for it anymore.
