dapiper
Building up N42 head as replacement and need these parts. Need head ready to go without having to swap parts. Aluminum retainers originally from Tilton designed for 42.5 mm outer spring height. Need 6. Spring cups fit stock outer spring OD but using Isky 7005 spring set. Braap? 1 fast z
I am a bit confused by your post. SO your looking for a specific alluminum retainer? Hopefully this isnt a street car, but rather a race motor that will get tore down often to check for the keepers being pulled through the retainers. jeffp
I agree with Brian, you don't want to use aluminum spring reatiners or stem inserts. I have run them and to date have lost two valves with the PERFORMANCE valve train components. You want a good part, speak to Dell engineering for Titanium retainers and cups, these are light weight and will last forever.

Instead of just parroting what Brian and Jeff already said, I'll just say ditto..
1 fast z
A rule of thumb. Titanium is half the mass of steel Alluminum is 1/3 the mass of steel The benifit to a lighter retainer is you can run a weaker spring, which in turn=more HP. inline6
Ancient thread... but I'm trying to track down titanium retainers for an L series. Can't find anything online about Dell Engineering... Are they defunct?
ctc
You might try wolfcreek racing. I thought they had some on their website awhile back.
