The going rate seems to be half the cost of the parts plus the cost of the car. Labor is a freebe.

Whats that put you at?

well...that would put it at $4500....hhhhhoooolllllyyyyyy crap!!!!!

that's what the LS1 drivetrain cost me.......lol

the swap was done about 4 months back.....

thanks for your reply..

I'm not being critical of you, just the car. I know the LSX swaps are popular and the performance is stellar, but I have issues w/ the unfinished back. It looks strange w/ all the holes everywhere. To me that is a big turn off.

Granted you don't want to spend any more money if your trying to sell it, but I would buff out the black lines where the molding was. It looks bad.

Aside from those issues I would ebay the car. Put the reserve at what you would walk away from it at Plus $500.00 towards shipping. I would include in the auction that you will kick in $500.00 towards the shipping. I'm assuming this is a fairly rust free CA car and you could likely get more bids this way from the East Coast folks.

I would also see if you could find a shipping company upfront before you list. Help out w/ the leg work.

That being said and the economy the way it is, I'd wager 4-5K for the car.

Do you have the coil covers for the motor? It would add so much to the look of the motor.

Best of luck w/ your decision.

With the right buyer sure, ~$6-7k. But not likely.

Like jeff said, looks unfinished. Flares, spoiler and airdam not being painted makes it look more like a project than finished car. Id offer $4500, maybe $5000.

Edit- Oooo, didnt read the posts, looks like I was close.

7-9k, honestly. I own one and I know the time and cost in doing it but as you can see...more people are doing the swap and hard eco times! Go back and check Dale's post for his car. Far from stock motor and lots of goodies susp wise (coil overs, 5 lug, big brakes, roll bar, strut bar) sold the car for 4K.

Just keep it ;)
