Challenger
I didnt even notice that. I was laughing at the fact that they had to put middle east at the top to make sure people knew what they were looking at.

gogriz91
Their knowledge of geography is on par with the average American high school graduate, not an excuse, just an observation.
Drax240z
Their knowledge of geography is on par with the average American high school graduate, not an excuse, just an observation. I've noticed that the average American's world geography is weaker than most, what can you guys attribute this to? Is it just as simple as geography not being taught in school as much as other countries? Obviously these are pretty gross generalizations I am making here. Dan Juday
I've noticed that the average American's world geography is weaker than most, what can you guys attribute this to?... The proximity to Canada. Imagine how bad it would be if we shared a boarder!
woldson
Ummm, knowing where a county is, I never found to be that important. I do know my geography well, what I don't know I look up. Now USA history, now that is a travesty.

kiwi303
I've noticed that the average American's world geography is weaker than most, what can you guys attribute this to? Basicly it's just the culture of the country... the stereotypical american has the point of view that they live in a "Superpower" country and it's not their place to worry about where some minor player is located, so long as those minor players know the the US of A is. Thats my take on it. Try reading a book called "The Ugly American" it'll make you think about international relations
