rvannly
Hey, what do you guys think about powder coating the s30 chrome trims? I want a black finish. Maybe too thin; warpage?
rbpowered280z
ive seen them done, but i guess you would have to be careful with how long you bake them. and i dont think warpage would matter much, seeing as when the trim is clipped on, they wont be warped. idk, someone on here did them. Mr.Roboto
i know nothing about powdercoating so excuse me for this noob question but after you coated the 13b in chrome how does the blue adhere to that? does the static charge still go through the chrome? rbpowered280z
its just powder. you can powdercoat anything that will hold a charge, and what i did was attach the electrode to the engine pieces themselves, so the powder static clings to the piece. you can do 10 layers of powder and if you have a decent gun it will still adhere to the piece. sweetleaf
I just made my own oven from scratch. Uses less power than most ovens, cooks evenly, and was a hell of a lot cheaper.

jhaag
Perhaps you could find something useful about building your own oven on the Oven Building Forum at http://forum.caswellplating.com/oven-building-forum/ John
PSL_240z
All this talk about powder coating makes me want to powder coat the whole car!! I found a few people talking about it on other forums, but haven't found an example of a finished product. Anybody see one?
Heathhh
lol. I was actually just looking over the pictures and then saw those windshield wipers. I was just looking at mine the other day and thinking i should paint them. Minor stuff like that really make a difference.
