stravi757
This is hilarious, Keep the pics coming. What is your plan on getting your phone back....Personally I wouldnt worry about getting it back if it were me, I would start pulling pranks on their house everyday. I would start off with something like posting an add on craigslist selling all of thier stuff, And make sure to tell them they have to come at 6Am. zgeezer
How much is your blackberry worth? Check to see where the break point is between felonies and misdemeanors is in Texas. Gather all your information, do the locate my telephone thing. Put together a three ring binder with proof that the blackberry is yours, that it was stolen [you did file a stolen property report...right?] and walk into the appropriate sheriff/police/constabulary, lay out your evidence and file a complaint. Cops have a sense of humor and like district attorneys they really like shooting fish in a barrel. Great story and it could make headlines as the world's dumbest criminal. Hell, if it's a small community or if you have really pinned that place down... they may even know him. Number of ways to do this. In many Western states you could take a cop with you and make a citizen's arrest. Actually, if you walked into a police station with all that information, some aggressive prosecutor might pick it up as probable cause for a search warrant..... then, things could get interesting. Or, you could give up on the blackberry and continue to collect photos. Who knows what photographs people take with cell phones: we all know, and sooner or later there could be a real eye opener. Of course, his defense will be that he found it on the street where you dropped it... or something similar. Personally, I like the voluntary invasion of privacy....whoops, did I really say that. Keep us informed, these group things are fun. G Edited March 5, 2010 by zgeezer
randy 77zt
where i live they have these giant flea markits that sell lots of stolen stuff and pirated dvd;s .there is so much stuff there and so many people that the cops gave up on patrolling it.can you blame the cops=they are very out numbered at these places.they have people in bothes that hack phones.and they sell hacked dish network stuff.what ever happened to la migra in the puke green dodge vans?anyway thet should have an app that makes the phone explode or go up in smoke when you dial a number that you program into it.like that spy show back in the 60's where the tape went up in smoke after it was played

That was my take. It looked like a poorer family that just may have bought it at a flea market, eBay, or just off the back of a truck down in Centerville. Honestly they just don't look the type to take vacations in Colorado. Maybe contact them and ask for it back w/ a finders fee?
bobbyc
yeah...i haven't done anything yet...i'm no so concerned about the blackberry..but more the stuff on it....damn thing was linked to all my stuff...i had to redo all my stuff....plus email that had already been delivered....i will say he looks like the stereotypical thief....i'm going to the police tomorrow...the more i think about it...the more i want my stuff back.... My previous comments notwithstanding, what I see in these photos are two well dressed men, one of whom is showing off his prize possessions: his baron, his glock, his clothes and, of course, "his" cell phone. They look healthy and I'll bet are working: not stealing to support a habit. The shirts are pressed and I can tell you that belt is not cheap. No "tats" visible. I don't see druggies or addicts there: I see a working class family. I have several photos of me and my .30 M1, my SKS assault rifle look alike, my .40 Long Colt and such. While I don't see Glocks as a fashion statement, I'll bet we have more than a few on this forum. I'll give you even money.... no better yet... I'll put up my R200 3.54 (rusty, frozen, and generally unsaleable) that this guy bought your cell at a swap meet. I've bought my share of tools and such off swap meets. Were they stolen? Who knows. The price was right. G
19762802+2
There is some place in denver I have been to I can't remember but it was a HUGE flea market. You can rent out lots I believe and sell whatever you want and I'm sure there was some stolen stuff there. The radio I bought was probably stolen but I'm not sure anyways I will research the name of the place to see what I can get. Mile High Marketplace on I76 and 88th Ave. When I went there the place seemed shady to me there were lots of latino shops, But there was also lots of cool stuff great place to get any kind of tools you need. In the back there are more lots that are rented out in the front are the more serious vendors. Also they look exactly like the kind of people you see there lots of cowboy kind of people. Tony D
So denial that you're buying stolen goods makes it O.K.? Then posting the photos at the paedophile website is just 'devine retribution' for their lack of moral standards. Really, I'm amazed. I don't go certian places because of the likelyhood of stolen property being sold. I couldn't live with myself knowing someone's bread-and-butter (their tools) were taken and then bought by me. Frankly, I'm restraining myself from stating things drawn from conclusions after seeing the photos. They are travelling quite a bit. Must be because they save so much money buying stuff stolen. They deserve some heartbreak. People who profit from stolen merchandise deserve heartbreak. Denying you're supporting theives doesn't make it right. Nor absolve you from some morally correct retribution for your ill gotten booty... I bet the paedophiles will like it if you mention Chunkito's Booty in glowing terms. Posting mamasita on Craigslist as 'lonely latina looking for love' in the multiple partner personals would be good. You got the number, right? I'm sure Mr. Chunkito would love getting inquiries on his hot babe of a significant other from strange men. Stir that pot. They DESERVE it! LineC
Must be why Tony D wears Levi 501's instead of Wranglers... the sheep can hear a zipper a mile away Ohh god I gotta remember this one. woldson
Stealing anything form a hard working man is intolerable! Just because you only drove the car does not mean you can't be brought up on serious charges! You want a better community, you can't sacrifice ethics with cheap excuses. Those meets would not even happen if general people did not encourge them. (Buying) They are there to meet your low ethical standards. I'm not as brazen as TonyD, however, if more people were like that, that phone, perhaps, would not have been stolen.
Tony D
Oh, if you pi$$ me off, I can be very irritating. Not like here, I mean REALLY irritating, not in a cronic jockitch-that-doesn't-respond-to-Tinactin kinda way, but a malicious irritation! And this posession of my goods (especially when there is undoubtedly a LIST of people on the device you could call to ask where to return it...) This would pi$$ me off! I've made phone calls to people who freak out over how much I know, and then thanking me because they didn't realize they left their portfolio with checkbook, ID, credit cards sitting on a parking lot post! (Near a truck stop, no less!) I mean, right is right, and wrong is wrong. There is some stuff in between that people in power set up, but I'm not getting into that. Hell, I've turned around to make statements to the police after witnessing parking lot transgressions by slimy bastards who think they got away scot-free from backing into, and trashing someone else's ride. The sight of them in court being called to pay for their smarmy ways is eminently satisfying ("And where were you, Mr. D. And were there any witnesses other than yourself?" I was parked next to the gentleman, when he parked. After he left and his vehicle rolled into the other one, I waited, and then moved to see what he would do. My son was with me, we were on the way to the Boy Scout Meeting so he could present his Eagle Project to the board for approval."---you could see the defense attorney just shudder when he realized he didn't ask that question in THAT way during depositions. D'OH! 'We got a guy doing a stand up thing, and his backup witness is a Boy Scout working on his EAGLE PROJECT!' That dude was BUSTED! )
Rolling Parts
".....After he left and his vehicle rolled into the other one, I waited, and then moved to see what he would do." My sentiments exactly, your corpulence. Contact them and wait and see what they will do. If they send it back, great; if they don't then the full weight of small claims court is warranted. Administrators BRAAP Posted March 7, 2010 Administrators Share Posted March 7, 2010 Phone was lost stolen back in June. Phone was shut down after calls were started to be made. Pics being taken, even recently it sounds like. So, 9 months later, with conclusive evidence of the phones location and very detailed pics of the persons currently in possession, including Geographic coordinates to the home and locations the pics were taken... Why has not some form of authority been involved or taken ANY action whatsoever in this? Either there are some missing twisted pieces to this puzzle or authorities would've acted on this, especially since 90% of the investigating has been done by the perps already! Take a copy of the stolen/lost report (including copies of the phones statement showing the phone service stopped), print out the pics, GPS coordinates, photo-bucket URL's of these picts down the local authorities, and move forward with this! cygnusx1
 Authorities, tend to be more concerned with more widespread cases.  If this is part of a ring, they will approach it quite slowly and cautiously.  If, it's an isolated case, they really don't have a ton of motivation, based on a missing phone.  There are bigger fish to fry; I would hope.  Yes, it should be handled accordingly, but if they take their time, I would understand.  I know it's harder to see it this way when you are the victim.  There is nothing worse than rushing a case, only to miss a detail and go down in flames, at your own cost.  My brother is "in the business". Edited March 7, 2010 by cygnusx1

To think you have not stolen is just a cheap way of getting around right and wrong. Just to drive home this point, if you are in the US Military and come across the scenario that woldson describes you can be prosecuted under Article 134 of the UCMJ referred to as "Wrongful Witholding" They are lowlives. They need to pay. This isn't a job for Judge Wapner, it's a job for Judge Dredd!
