  1. Titus_racer posted on that same car. I think its a bit expensive for what it is.
  2. Agreed, thats alot for a non-running car. Eddiebird has a nice running 78 from CA for $4000.00 You could have his car shipped to your door for $600
  3. No, a stock turbo zx walks all over an NA l28.
  4. Take alot of pics and post them, should give forum members a rough idea of its value. Main thing is rust really.
  5. Am I the only one that thinks welding right on top of the old rails is a bad idea? Some water is bound to get between the two rails and start rusting.
  6. I know they are NOT Porsche wheels.
  7. Rebuilt 5 speed on ebay right now, in CA. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-240Z-280ZX-Rebuilt-OEM-5-Speed-Transmission_W0QQitemZ400082300143QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item5d26c36cef
  8. Remember non-running cars cost a lot more to ship.
  9. There is a nice 78 already painted, daily driver for 4k in the for sale section.
  10. They do great work, but I think there prices are just crazy on some stuff. There are some smaller shops in the area that are just as good if not better for a lot cheaper. The shops I have in mind do not even advertise in the phone book, they are covered up with just word of mouth advertisement from local car shows and what not.
  11. I was reffering to this statement. Surely if you factor all the motorsport drivers, more people have went over 200 mph than into space. But I guess LVSALT was reffering to this special rules you land speed guys go by.
  12. Google auto shipping quotes. Fill out the info on those sites and you get like 14 quotes instantly. Long haul is cheaper per mile for us, since only the big trucks do long haul and they carry 10 cars, so they can afford to be cheaper than the pick ups hauling 3 cars.
  13. Indeed my username is Sparks280zt!!! I was looking around local for a running Z that had little rust issues. Well found nothing at all. So I did some searching on California craiglist and found a nice little rust free gem and had a local member check it out. Everything look good so I bought it and it is rust free. Cost me $600 to ship from Modesto CA to Lenoir NC, over 2500 miles! You can't put floor pans in for $600!
  14. I guess you don't count race car drivers as people above 200 mph?
  15. Ouch! If you went there you wwaayyyyy overpaid.
  16. I purchased one of these two years ago, put on a 76 280z fit no problems. BUT, you guys have to remember these cars are approaching 40 years old, who knows if your Z was hit in the rear 5-10-20-30 years ago and tweaked it enough to make these panels not fit?
  17. Save yourself the hassle and buy a rust free west coast car. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=155232 Only cost me $600 to ship a car form CA to NC.
  18. What you think of these? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/fender-mirror-datsun-240z-260z-280z-kp61-te27-ta22-ke70_W0QQitemZ140337761132QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item20acc84b6c
  19. You would have to pop the hatch every time you fill up, and chances are you are going to drip some gas from the nozzle into the car. I dont have one, but alot of people on here have stated they wish they didn't do the fuel cell for their dd. Hopefully they will chime in.
