You will not find anything wider with the same look for cheaper, sry! That wheel itself is a cheap version of a watanabe rs-8. Plan on dropping atleast $2000 for a 9 inch wide wheel all the way around with some good tires.

have you reserached the rod knock issue with the 7m? Most of the time its caused by owner neglect and low oil. BUT on supra forums there are many cases where the cars are well taken care of, oil checked religously, and its completely stock, and rod knock develops. For the money, you can get a 1jz for about the same price. My friend has a 1jz in his mk3 and has had no problems with getting parts for it, that seems alot like an internet myth about bad parts availablty, either way, good luck.

There was an s130 at SEZ with an rb26 in it and the owner had the plastic B pillar with the grooves. He put filler in the grooves and sanded it all smooth and looked real clean, but it was not painted yet.

There is a kit that sells an adapter plate to mate a supra 6 speed to the RB 26. Do a search in the RB forum and you could find it.

All manual trannies from 70-76 are the 4 speed. Starting in 77 I beleive they started putting in 5 spds in some 280zs, others had the 4 spd still. All manual 280zxs are 5 spd with the 83 turbos having the BW 5 speed. All of these manual trannies 70-83 will bolt up. I do beleive you might have to do some driveshaft mods. The NA 280zx 5 speeds seem to be a very popular swap. Search and you can find some more answers. Good luck

This is actually my 2nd z31. My first was an 88 NA and i drove it for a month with no problems and then sold it to buy my 87 turbo. I have had it since the end of september and have been driving it everyday since then with no problems. I had to have the injector recall done because it had never been done and plus Nissan does it for free. I just had the timing belt, and clutch replaced, I just replaced the timing belt to be safe. Like any Z car, they have some little problems. Usually the gas, water temp, and oil pressure gauges do not work or only work sometimes. All my gauges work fine but the gas gauge goes to E very quickly but the secondary 1/4 gauge works as does the gas light. As Dan pointed out you can reinstall the sending unit and it usually fixes this problem.

My uncle is tossing around the idea to open a chrome shop on some new property he recently acquired. I told him I thought there was some red tape to cut in regards to the chemicals and what not but I was not 100% sure. Does anyone know anything about chrome shops and the start up money required? Any advice would be great.
