  1. yes there have been some t-tops installed on early Zs. There is a guy in SC with a red 240 that he cut the roof off and transplanted a 280zx roof onto. The dimensions are very similiar it seems.
  2. you cannot pour cooking oil right into the tank. It needs to be processed and most DIY process kits cost about 4k. The kits are very simple to use and I honestly think anyone can run one.
  3. I never really was hot on z31s until i bought one. I love my 87 turbo and its 100% stock and does sick nasty burnouts. Plus im knocking down great gas mileage with it and these motors really are stout. You should enjoy it alot.

  16. Chris anytime man. As far as underbody rust, you are in pretty descent shape. It is for sure going to need a passenger side pan, did you catch that? Your rails look good, you just might need a set of pans. Trust me, that car is ALOT ALOT ALOT more cleaner than the one i started with and the one 240hoke started with. So dont let the rust get you down, its all repairable. I would say get a welder and do it yourself. Anyways the body is pretty straight on that thing. The guy did admit that he did not drive it. I went back and read your posts where you said he stated the floor pans were solid. Well as i said, they arent. I would personally send him some pics of the hole in the passenger side pan and maybe ask for a couple hundred bucks back.
  17. As for the weld in panels, they are good quality but do not buy them from VB or MSA. Both of them buy them from www.tabcobodyparts.com You can buy direct from tabco and the shipping is free and fast. Now as for fenders, DO NOT buy aftermarket fenders, mine fit horribly. I rather buy a set of good used fenders that need a patch panel than aftermarket fenders.
  18. You might want to consider the venom 550ccs for the 7mgte. They are drop in for the 7m so if your 7m 440s are fitting well I suspect the venom 550s for the 7m should fit just as well.
