  1. I found that u-joint of subaru and 240z can be assembled together. 1. Dismantle 240z u-joint by using hydraulic press. Be sure not to lose neelde roller in the bearing cups. 2. Dismantle subaru u-joint as above. This was from 1st gen FWD Imprezza wagon (18 spline). To drive out the cups, some spacers may be located between spider and cup. I put some welding rods. 3. I am not sure it is possible to disassemble without damage the oil seals. 4. Pack grease 240z cups and press them in. punch around cups. By the way, I ended up using EPS system from Suzuki mini car because there is no room for P/S pump.
  2. Subaru caps are larger than 240z ones.
  3. I wish you have a bunch of spare HTS shocks because they are no longer available.
  4. I felt the same difficulty and found that they seem to hate email but respond to a Fax. BTW I'm curious your G-Force GF-5R project.
  5. S13 rack into S30? You steer right, the car turn left. S13 rack is located behind LCA.
  6. R32: no R33: early NVCS R34: AKA NEO RB engines including RB20 came with improved NVCS. NA engine has wider timing advance cam gear and intake valves may hit stock pistons. NEO intake cams and aftermarket cams for NEO can be used on RB26.
  7. Thank you to be interested in my project. I hope I let engine running until the end of this year.
  8. I've heard that the design taken from fuel (or oil) pickup in helicopter.

  10. For those who worry oil starvation problem of RB engines, here is PATENTED oil strainer for racing RB26 which shall use stock oil pan casting by ragulation. One or a couple of bearings and oil seal enable the cup swinging by gravity. http://www3.ocn.ne.jp/~krg/p3/gst.html
  11. My car has been left untouched for 6 months. RB is still in my room. The oil clearance between solenoid piston and adaptor block I made was too loose. So I got another solenoid which is widely used on Nissan VQ engines. New sonenoid (left), adaptor block, and gasket (right). http://album.hybridz.org/showphoto.php?photo=13002&cat=500

  13. Bob, I have a power steering pump and a A/C compressor on the driver's side of the engine. I took time to find any room for the pump and gave up. I even tried to put the power steering pump above the alternator. I need A/C in my car because it is too sultry here in Japan. If I could find a good electric power steering system, I might try drysumping again. cut and enlarged the sump of Z31 oil pan.
