  5. my brother in law uses taluline with primiume gas. yep paint thinner! He really dose not need to with ceramic 2 coating and low compression. but it is a 804rwhp twin turbo 351 v8.
  6. Its kinda like running synthic oil or oil additives, they work but its kinda unmeasureable. Could be the reason engine ran forever, but if the oil pump breaks, how much damage was advoided, hard to say. Cost not too high, so it creates cheap insurence!
  7. I agree! In washington i have (in theroy!) removed alot of cats and not even seen a diff in emmissions! But i have seen increse in hp and gas mileage. Considering they worry about consuption of fuel and emmissions why they have not figured this out i dont know. Finlly tuned engines you all put back on the street problaly produce less emmisions, also oil buring which is not tested here, is problaly a service to the tree huggers! Minus wheel burn outs:icon52: ! I think in part liberals are miserable and misery loves company. ps now they just want to plug into the computer that most cars come from, and since there is a standerization in the industy probaly be very easy to spoof the test, even if there eyes are burning from the unspent fuel!!! The machine dose not lie ya know!

  12. i ll be posting my bros destroyed pistons but i want him to get a closer pic of what looks like round holes,,,,,he was a 10.5 to 11 to one compression running forged pistions and 12 psi, pistions melted in one or 2 good pulls on a street tuning! No coating.
  13. Frist of all cermaic coating is great, i reducses the chance of ping, my friend with the 805 rwhp had a BAD timing issue dyno guy said he was running dieasal pressue in the cyls. Small amout of det damage. Olny tinge that save that engine was the coating. Also the coating did not break down like it showed on yours. that coating shows that what ever it was suck around for a long time to shot peen all that coating away. My bro just fried two rebuilds on his honda the ring lans on the intake where its the hottest broke, this was frm boost creep. On the other side how the hell did that object stay in there so long with out being ejected? and how did i so servive that type of abuse????? cant believe welding slag.......... This is quite the cojitator. hmmmmmmm

  15. ya know my brother bought a gasket that is spoposed to help isolate heat from the head into the manifold,,,,add that to heat shield and wrapped headers (i know thats not the best for turbo) but that can help too??
  16. ive filled a 69 429 and started it with no oil plug after filling the drive way with 4 quarts of oil:icon11: bug must of left plug loose smoke everyware, oil cooler broke on that bug year later,,,, really smokey, over filled oil bath, thinking more is better,,, fast corner lots of smoke, melted a corner of a piston in dessert of california, lots of smoke for 600 more miles to san diego had to tail gate semi trucks just to do 55!! My brother put forged pistons in b16a but he had the cyls roughen alot for break in melted ring lans 100 miles later....ps intake is actually hoter than exught that is neew news to me.... any how the list contiues,,,,,,,,by the way kid the engine have any oil additive before the rebuild ive herad that honeing sometime wont work properly due to bonding deep into the metal? Anyhow now i look back now and thay are all extreamly great stories, not so much at the time but pricless now!

  19. xray puts kinda a period at the end of the sentance but.......ive pulled heads that have a 150000 plus miles and can easily see original bores! Like old american moters high nickle content blocks, soft rings. Makes me curious what happed to that motor.

Hey my 82 had that happen to it, reverese polerity, so did my 83, not somthing i did, andy how the after 5 alternators in 82 two in 83, short behind fuse box, mild though, would cause spikeing in volt gague radomly, took long time to find! also found that a new bocsh alternater was the most stable one i ever ran and is still running,,,,,mabey helpfull. Both cars had same thing happen and same systoms.
