  1. Well done! We should have a S30/RB get together.
  2. It has been started..... Final PS install
  3. i have stock cams for a bnr34 rb26. Will those work for you - they are different than the r32/33 Q
  4. I have the same bung in my pan - it is plugged and doesn't leak. I assumed it was for a temperature sensor - as Stony has showed. Q
  5. Yes he is - two posts in a short period of time. Welcome back - and thank you for all your knowledge you are willing to share. Q
  6. I can't believe the lack of luck you have had! It doesn't look like it got hot - no indication of blue in the pics. I will make some calls on a crank. Q
  7. I use the microtech lt12s with the x6 ignition pack and wideband. I like the "3d" mode where you can tune at 500 rpm intervals for load (boost) and injector cycle. the system extrapolates between the RPM levels. Fairly easy to get working and uses the stock CAS, temp sensors, tps etc. My only complaint would be service - but if you are purchasing the system through Microtech USA I suspect the service would be fine. Q
  8. I am trying to mount a power steering pump to my rb26. I have the pump and bracket - which I thought bolted to the block but I suspect I am missing something. Can someone here post a pic of the setup of the bracket mounted to the block? Or brackets. I've reviewed the manuals but cannot find an exploded view. I never received any accessories with my long block - so I have not seen this setup. .....and if I am missing something anyone here willing to part with this hardware? Thanks! Q
  9. You are correct for the head bolts - the specs I quoted were for the conrod bolts. Q
  10. Well my power steering challenge is nearing completion. Some bad pictures of the mock up.... It looks much closer than this right now - will take some shots once V has completed the install. The long block is now together. RB26 (34) Block, bored 1mm, cp pistons (8.5:1), tomei conrods, crank assembly balanced, etc. These oil pan mods were done last year before the original install - but I did not take any pictures - so I thought I would share them... That is it for now..... the head should be back from having new guides, surfacing, etc. soon. Then it will have to be re-assembled. Q
  11. Well spoke to Tomei Japan Here are the specs I was given: 1) Torque - 15Nm 2) Angle wrench - 60-65 degrees Stretch should be between 0.12-0.15 mm Q
  12. i was thinking wreck - but yes a subaru power steering rack
  13. Oh yeah - complete rebuild. Tomei conrods, pistons, stage 2 cams, springs, adj. cam gears, fully ported head, tomei oil pump, hks gt-rs turbos, etc. etc. No - there was nothing wrong with the engine. Pictures out soon of the long block together. Also have the steering wrack almost done - will post some pics of that as well. Q
  14. found the number for Tomei Tomei Powered USA Inc. 13 Orchard, Suite 107, Lake Forest, CA 92630, USA. Tel: 949 855 6577 (+1 949 855 6577) Fax: 949 855 6525 (+1 949 855 6525
  15. Good morning, I need some assistance with torque and stretch measurements and hope someone here has them (no guessing please) RB26 Tomei H beam conrods - with the ARP L19 bolts (no specs in box) ARP head bolts #202-4207 (2000 series) - again no specs from ARP Called ARP and got some numbers for the head bolts but they seam too high 125ft/lbs. They refused to give a number for the Conrods. Even if someone can provide me a number for tomei USA that would be great. Q
  16. I was getting 432 whp at 18lbs boost. I could (and did) run upto 20lbs. The turbos were modified bnr32 units with GTR turbines, ported, larger flapper, etc. About 30% more flow (based on turbine size). Upon tear down we did not find any issues on internals at all. Head gasket was going. That was it. I found the parts (except for the oil pump ) quite reasonable compared to an L28 high performance build. Obviously some extra peices - cam, turbos... but as far as internals went RB26 parts are priced quite aggressively. Q
  17. I would agree with that - especially if it includes, mounts, driveshaft, exhaust etc.
  18. i'll weigh mine with and without cams next week Q
  19. After getting a quote from Eric's - I went through XS for all my new goodies - (Tomei pistons, rods, cams, springs, etc.). I also went to Mark at Ravspec for the Tomei oil pump - best price by far! http://www.ravspeconline.com I have three new stock HGs if anyone wants to make a paper airplane!
  20. Got the bolts already - there is the correct number and 3 long ones as per the stock bolts.
  21. Stony that is nice stuff. I think I will be ok with mine once it is done. Will post some more pics later on. Q
