  1. i own a set - and would not use them for racing - they just look to weak. I use them on the street. Q
  2. Janaka with the quaiffe you won't need a diff cooler. I had the oil boil out of a diff or two before I intalled the cooler. A quaiffe would not run hot at all. Q
  3. get the billet CV adapters - not the welded together adapters. I speak from experience. Quentin
  4. you just got it working good - that could have been ugly! glad your ok! As the saying goes " keep your stick on the ice" - well we say that in Canada sometimes........ Q
  5. that is very nice! sounds like it is running very good in the videos. Q
  6. you both going on Sunday? I will be there. q
  7. I am in agreement here - only difference is some internals - CP pistons, Tomei rods, and oil pump Q
  8. i had that dream once as well..... should sound amazing!!!
  9. Well I was happy with the timing curve and did some more tuning today. Finally increased the boost. Adjusted from 9lbs (lowest boost I can have with the upgraded springs in the wastegates) to 20lbs. Now it hauls hard.... hunting for traction in 3rd with the RA1 245/45/16s. No indication of detonation so i am sure i could increase the boost some more but with the rubber i have there would be little point. will try to get to a dyno soon and post some numbers. Stony I will post the timing curve on here tomorrow. Q
  10. That picture is from mosport - but i don't recognize the car
  11. i've compared Stony's and J's - very similiar thanks again q
  12. thanks everyone! Gives me a base to work with exactly what i needed. Q
  13. Good day I require some help (put in your own joke here) I was tuning today and noticed my timing was not varying. The reason for this is the “expert†tuner I had taken my car to has messed up the timing curves. The baseline curve seems fine – ramps up from 14°at idle to 30° at 4000 rpm and then stays flat. However my MAP curve (which adds or subtracts timing from the base line) is all positive – and by a lot! At 20lbs boost I would have been running 38° total advance. I can’t believe that is correct. What has saved me is upon building the new engine I had set the max advance to 26°. Does anyone here have a curve that I could start with – timing vs. boost levels? 240ztt sent me one about 2 years ago – but I can’t find it and it is not posted. RB26 Tomei stage 2 cams Ported head Tomei pistons, rods 9.5:1 compresssion Hks GT-RS twins Any help appreciated. Q
  14. I agree $ $$ $$$ Seriously Careless - I don't understand what you are looking to find out here. I thought you had everything? Are you trying to run a wolf off the RB26 harness? IMHO I would make my own harness - not a huge effort and you will know what you have. I will be online today. Q
  15. save the ends off of the old lines - use some heat and remove them - and make up your own out of new material. Pipe cutter, bender and some heat. That way you can run the lines where you want. Q
  16. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=132106 Further down the thread you will see the 15nm was for the conrods (then 60-65 degrees and measure the stretch) the specs on the headstuds are further down quoted by Careless. the specs he quoted are correct. Q
  17. i'm voting vacuum leak as well. But it could be so many things. Start with the simple stuff.
  18. i have 245/45/16 on the rear 225/50/16 on the front required rolling the fenders and some pulling. Depending the on the tire - I am using R compounds - this is still slick Q
  19. What injectors are in you car? At least a color and brand will help. Q
  20. i am not an expert - but i have some familiarity with these engines - where are you. PM me if you want some assistance. Q
  21. went down the street yesterday... the good - the engine generates boost quite low in the RPM range - 25-3000 it is starting - i am suprised! the power rack has an issue - new one ordered
