Would it be possible to change this rule just in the classified and group buy sections? It'd be really nice to be able to update lists of parts that have already sold and to update the list of people who are in on the group buy (the issue I am having).

If you've seen the previous thread concerning this airdam, you already know that we have had absolutely no luck in getting these imported from AritaSpeed in Japan. Luckily, when VinhZXT recently went on a trip to Japan, he was able to purchase one there and bring it back with him to the US. I have discussed the production of this part extensively with 280Zone, and he has agreed to reproduce this part from the piece in Vinh's possession. All we need to get the ball rolling on this is 18 committed buyers. Here are the details of the deal from 280Zone himself: So, as you can see, we are ready to go once we have some committed buyers. There is a technical detail that needs to be worked out: The kit comes with recesses for headlight covers. These are not the same headlight covers as the ones that fit a stock 280zx. As far as I know, the only place to get the proper headlight covers is AritaSpeed in Japan, who we already know does not want to import parts to the US. In my opinion, it would be best to have these recesses filled in on the kits produced by 280Zone. I will leave it up to a vote as to whether the recesses should be filled in or left alone. If you sign up to purchase a kit, please include your preference for the headlight cover treatment. The Nissan Toyota place is on 40th street, just north of I-10. Their prices are a tad high, but then you can usually bargain with them to throw in just as much random small stuff that you need for free. I was just there yesterday for a new fender, and got a couple A-pillar covers, a B-pillar cover, and some other parts for the price of just the fender.

I drove my ZX from Phoenix, AZ to Albany, NY via Daytona Beach and Virginia Beach. Drove non-stop between AZ and Daytona. No problems with the car other than the fact that the radio didn't work. After 20 something hours you run out of ♥♥♥♥ to talk about, even with your best friend.

I just transfered to Arizona State University as a junior in Mech E. I got an associates in Engineering Science at a community college so I did not have a chance to be a part of clubs like SAE during my first two years, but plan to sign up soon at ASU. With the introduction of low sulfur diesel fuel in the US all kinds of cars will have optional diesel engines in the coming years. Aside from the Germans, Toyota and Nissan are going to be offering diesel power plants in many of their vehicles - so don't count out a diesel Hilux just yet! I for one love my Tacoma. Mine doesn't have the gas mileage you're looking for - I only get about 20mpg with the v6 - but the 4cyl ones are pretty good on gas.

I'm definitely looking forward to this car being made. The GF will be getting one of these in SRT trim instead of the turbo Miata she has her eyes set on now.

I don't want to hear any excuses about unreliable or uncomfortable cars. I just drove my ZX from New York to Arizona and it was the biggest POS at the last meet!

I would definitely be down for a set for that price. Just a couple of questions: Does the door panel put the speaker far enough from the door so that you do not have to cut the sheet metal to get it to fit? How does the door panel attach to the door frame? Will it reuse the plastic fasteners or will it have to be screwed on?

The ZX is in Arizona now. Can I bring the Tacoma? I bet I can keep up with the group better in the taco than in my slow ZX.

If its stock then they should be 3.54. You can check by jacking up the rear of the car and spinning one of the rear wheels. The number of revolutions the driveshaft makes per compete turn of the wheel is the gear ratio (you have to estimate the % of the final revolution to get the .XX). I have 3.9s in my ZX and thats just not cutting it for me. If you're certain that they're 3.54 I will take them. -Igor
