  1. Nice build! I just finished high school also, and am working on a '77 build. I like where you're going with yours.
  2. Here's a video I recently put together. I didn't have a lot of time to work on it so it ended up being only 2 minutes. Check it out:
  3. Great project! Your work looks very nice. Where'd you buy the 1JZ from? My dad's got a PT-67 on his car, they are great turbos.
  4. Awesome build, love it! Where did you get your Lexan windows from?
  5. Nice car, I am also in the 17 with a Z club .
  6. Do it, BMW makes amazing motors. I can't wait to see the S52 swapped local 260Z. I dream of swapping an S54 into my Z. My dad has a ~700 whp S54 (built bottom end) that can still run to the 8k redline with the stock head and valvetrain, and completely stock internal S54s have seen 700+whp on the dyno. German 2JZ! They are spendy though.
  7. I forgot to ask, do you remember what size hoses you ended up using and how much you needed? Thanks
  8. Thanks for the info, I'll go ahead and do it that way.
  9. I believe I have a vacuum leak that is causing my car to run a bit rough and vary the idle. Also, when I put the clutch in when coming to a stop, the car hovers above idle until the car is stopped. I've replaced my plugs (made sure they were gapped correctly), plug wires, rotor, and distributor cap, so I believe that the problem is a vacuum leak due to old hoses. So, does anyone here know where a good place is to get the hoses? I know MSA sells the Valve cover breather hose: http://www.thezstore.com/store/merchant.mvc?, and some of the others, but I'm more or less looking for a kit to buy. Any insight? Thanks in advance.
  10. I recently removed my carpet and center console from my '77. I like it a lot better than the old carpet, and am contemplating also removing the rear deck and the side paneling (speaker panels, A-Pillar, etc.). I'd like to get a 5th wheel when I get a set of wheels and put it in place of the old spare which would look cool through the hatch glass. Here are a few before and afters: Before (the driver's side is actually already removed, but you can't really tell here): After (before I removed the center console and cleaned the metal):
  11. Definitely will when I get them in. Unfortunately Sparco discontinued the Speed (they still make the Speed 2) and the one that they sent me was Black/Blue (one of the few left). I have changed my order to the Sprint 5, so this will delay the progress a bit.
  12. Nice looking car! Can't wait to see the progress. Do you know what wheels those are on the car currently? I have the same wheels, but am unsure of what they are.
  13. I've got Sparco Speeds going into mine. I will post a thread on my car after I do a little more work on the interior and install at least the driver's seat.
  14. This is an awesome build, especially the LSB color choice!!! I'd love to see it in person sometime being that I'm also in Portland. Maybe you could take it to Beach's at PIR when it's done. I'll be out there with my Z.
