PurePontiacKid- Thanks for posting that info in a really easy to understand way. It makes it a lot easier to decide on an upgrade when it is in a description that you can visualize.

It's hard not to be leery of a person selling early 70's zx's. There's a good chance the seller knows nothing about the car including condition. I always wonder if they don't pick the cars up cheap just to turn a profit and have no real interest in it.

Next time you should rely on your brothers in the Z world a little more. Maybe post in the WTB section.

Tony- I had to chuckle at your house description. I know you and your son came through close to my area when you saw carhenge. So you know in my part of the world- the newest, biggest , nicest house on the block isn't much complared to your area!By your description your house would be newer, bigger, and better than almost all the houses in my little town!

bjhines - Good for you! I harrass the **** out of A-holes who park in handicap spaces without stickers. They are truly the scum of the earth.

I quess there is an advantage to living in a small town in nebraska. I have the newest, biggest, nicest house in my neighborhood and nobody complains about anything. I have my parts car in the third slot of my driveway out front. The only complaint i've received is from my wife!I have to send away for parts but crime is practicaly zero and people are nice. We don't even have to lock our houses. Everyone in the neighborhood looks out for each other.

Just the picture of someone trying to load a horse into one of those made me laugh my a$$ off. Anybody who has ever hauled a horse is thinking what idiots they are for even thinking it!

Whatever it's called , it is buttugly.I've seen many 4x4 el camino conversions and some were nice and some weren't but a cadimino is just wrong. Was it being driven by a blue haired old lady with a rebel flag tattoo?

It would take something faster than a camaro to make me sell my zx. Maybe a 70 challenger R/T but I'd need about 10 mint z's to get one.

I quit cold turkey 9 years ago. If it's ok i'll share what helped me the most. But don't laugh until you try it because it actually works. Get a few drinking straws from Mcdonalds Hamburgers. It has to be these straws because of diameter and flexibility.They aren't brittle. Cut them into the same length as a cigarette. Chew up one end so you have to pull harder on it to get air through it. Not too hard but about as much as a cigarette. Then treat it as a cigarette. It keeps your mouth, lips, lungs and hands busy in the same routine until the nicotine cravings pace. Once you are no longer craving a smoke after meals or while driving etc then toss the straw. I used the straws for a month or so and it worked great. I had several friends who quit at the same time as me and I was the only one who made it .They tried patchs and all other over the counter help aids.I only used the straws. Give it a try, it's free and you have nothing to lose. GOOD LUCK from an ex smoker.

My 18 year old daughters 2000 altima was totaled last year in an accident caused by a 74 yr. old woman. The old lady had an out of state insurance company and she refused to contact her insurance and admit she had been in an accident. It took almost a month to get it straightened out. She wouldn't answer her phone when we, our insurance, or her insurance ( who I was in constant contact with) called.I actually had to go to her house and tell her to her face to get off her a$$ and do the right thing. In the mean time her son-in-law who owned a body shop had her car fixed and back on the road in 2 days.After a very long conversation with her insurance company, they decided to cancel her policy and contact the State of Nebraska about her driving abilites right after they paid for our car. It's not bad enough that some old people are crappy drivers but some are completely irresponsible too.

It would be interesting to find out where that car is today.

Pay it in pennies. Find an hour when you're free or can study in a waiting area. Show up at the office where the fine is paid with a bag of pennies. pour them out and say "I'm a poor college student and had to raid my piggy bank to pay this fine". Then wait while they count out 2000 pennies and walk out with your head up knowing that it took effort on their part and you screwed with the system by only complying with them. The heads in rule is stupid and only a revenue generating scheme.

Well than squishy it is. Although Bob is a good solid dam name, Squishy is an honorable and notable name.I predict it will flourish under its new identity and people will greet it with much respect! Welcome to the world SQUISHY! The more I say Squishy the better I like it!
