  1. Bringing back up a post worth talking about. Mack, did you ever write down any kind of measurements other than the 1.25". How thick is the piece of aluminum? Did you shave most of it to fit within the original control arm and leave the rest of the thickness of the aluminum on the outside of the control arm? Also, what is the deal with the tension rod? Is it effected by the bracket?Just wondering. Trying to make a set for my car. Brilliant idea by the way. Thanks, again.
  2. Yeah they don't have a S30 selection because no one has submitted a S30 or S130 for them to post on there site. You have to submit pictures to them and they decide whether or not your car can be on their site, and there are definitely some cars on here worthy enough to be on there. Also, Zilvia does have a wonderful selection of wheels and tires at any given point. Aside from there tire stretching ways.
  3. Here is my car at the BMW meet at Stone Mountain GA. Changed the moldings and mirrors (from 3 series to M3), and changed the wheels to the 540 wheels (much bigger and way more flush).
  4. Didn't know if any of you guys have ever been to http://www.RimTuck.com Great things to be seen there. Wondering if some of you guys would post some of your pictures up there to give the S30, S130, and even Z31's some recognition. Thanks
  5. I had one like Aziza Z (E30 325is). Great car. Had over 325K miles on it still ran like a champ. I have also own a grey '95 325is (E36) and currently own a '96 E36 All which are great cars. Just ready for something different (Turbo ZX).
  6. Looks like a treble clef. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treble_clef#The_treble_clef
  7. Also Bleach, what size wheels do you have (sizes and offsets)? Looking to get something close to the fenders in the rear. If anyone knows some sizes with deep lips and are close to flush with the fenders, please post your input. Thanks
  8. Thank you guys a ton. You all are full of helpful information. I think I can confidently build this motor, lol. Just a little worried you know. I'll keep you updated. Thanks again
  9. Slown280z - I'm planning on running megasquirt or SDS not sure yet. So hopefully with that I will be able to have proper fuel and spark. Also knowing that people have gotten away with 9:1 CR and forced induction eases me a bit. Thank you. woldson - I have not thought about either. Don't know much about them.
  10. Shaggy - 90's model BMW 4 dr M3! Bad Ass car. My roommate's got one. Pallnet - I love the mint choc. look the coupe has. Good choice especially with a clean, straight body.
  11. Alright guy with unlimited money. Just trying to keep down detonation is all. Not trying to choose a particular CR ratio. Just precautionary measures. I do not want all this money (forged pistons, motor and head work) to shoot down the tube because I could have spent a LITTLE extra money on a better seal (i.e. headgasket). Thanks for your input though.
  12. I appreciate all the input. I guess the availability of a paper gasket and not having to rebuild the motor if something goes wrong is probably worth it. Now the only thing I worry about is the compression ratio being to high for a forced induction vehicle. I had the block decked and the head shaved when being rebuilt, so my worry about the compression ratio being to high is the next concern. This was one of the reasons I wanted to go with a MLS gasket (1-2mm) to offset the high compression ratio. What do you guys think about that? Thank you again.
  13. Yeah I looked on there. It's just the fel pro and beck arnley paper gaskets. Really looking for a metal head gasket. The only reason I want a metal head gasket is for high boost. I hope to hit 20psi at some point in time and I know the paper gaskets aren't going to hold up to that kind of pressure. Thanks for all the ideas guys. A little more help though to get where I need to be.
  14. Anyone just know where I can find a stock bore Metal head gasket? That question should be a little easier to answer. I need it relatively soon. Can't do anything without it at this point. Thanks
  15. SDS individual coils. 440cc supra injectors on pump gas.
  16. blu240z what is the bore on the head gasket? stock or oversized?
  17. I did not realize that. Thank you Xnke. My thing is, is that I did not want to use a paper gasket for fear that I will have to replace often. Forged goodies, oversized valves, t3/t4 hoping to see a lot of boost and plenty of power. Didn't really want to spend my weekends changing out headgaskets.
  18. I have been searching around and can not find out what I want to know, so I am asking for some help. I have looked around for different head gasket options because MSA does not have the 1 or 2mm head gaskets for a while. So I found one at courtesy nissan but I do not know what would be the repercussions if I bought a head gasket that is 91mm bore when my motor is at an 87mm bore. So my question is, would it be okay to buy a head gasket with a larger bore? I realize it would not be smart to buy the OE bore (86mm) head gasket, but I do not know what it would do if I used a larger one. Any input on this would help me out a ton. Also if you have a better idea on where to buy a MLS head gasket I'm all for it. I would just like the head gasket at my house before May 12th. Thank you
  19. Do the 80-83 N/A 280zx's have a r180 or r200? Varies? Mike is your stock one a r200 or what?
  20. RUZN I would like to see your throttle cable linkage. If you have some pics that would be helpful. Might be helpful for someone in the future as well as currently.
  21. Measurements man? Would like to do this soon. You can just send me the cad/computer program if that makes it easier.
  22. Did you have your blocked o-ringed or is the gasket already pre-set in?
