  1. I want to bring this back up. What is the deal with copper head gaskets? You have to o-ring your block? What is this and how much does it normally run? What are the benefits over your traditional metal head gasket ( http://www.courtesyparts.com/head-gasket-1mm-required-p-227527.html ). Also I have an 87mm bore (1mm oversized) will a 91mm bore head gasket (like the one listed above) NOT work/be beneficial for me? Just a few questions seeing as in how the z store has there metal head gaskets back ordered till June 19th and the KAMEARI ones are way to expensive. Any advice on any of this, or where to find other metal head gaskets would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  2. Thank you. Many more people will appreciate this other than myself.
  3. I need one as well. Thezstore.com is out of metal head gaskets till June. Need one now. Would like to stay around the 160-190 range but everything is so high. Any ideas or help? Thanks.
  4. Not to high jack a thread or anything, but where can you get metal head gaskets these days. I tried to order one from thezstore.com but they told me there weren't getting any in till June at the earliest. I was planning on having the car done by the end of July so that would set me back a ton. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  5. Well how bout this. Just shoot me some measurements and I can make my own brackets. If that would be alright, I would appreciate it. Thanks and good luck with the rest of the build. I'll be watching for updates.
  6. What about the 5 lug 240sx? Didn't think it would matter but you have the option in doing the 300zx 4pot brake upgrade. Just an idea. I would like some of those adapters if you were thinking about making some more.
  7. That is badass and seems like very little effort and fab. Is the camber of the car ok? Have you driven it to see if there is any vibration or toe/camber issues?
  8. Get some ramps to drive on to.
  9. I most certainly can be. My birthday is the May 12th so I can always make an excuse to extend it to that weekend as well as drift atlanta May 8th and 9th.
  10. I have an ecu and a harness if these guys don't have them.
  11. I'm going to go see the midnight showing tonight with a couple of car guys tonight. I'll let all you guys know what I think when I get home tonight at 3am. LOL. I'm just impressed they have a Gran National in the movie. That's going to be cool enough. See ya.
  12. Hey man I have 82 front and rear bumpers if you wana trade for your 79-80 bumpers that would be awsome. I'm in Athens ga but we could meet somewhere half way if you would like. Thanks.
  13. Clean car rusty. 1 owner and only 51k miles on an 83 that's a fantastic find. I also love the red 911 in the background as well.
  14. WigenOut, it seems like cutting and welding cast iron would be a little troublesome. How did you go about it? Shop? What? Thanks, and it looks great.
  15. That picture has been on the web forever. I have it saved to my computer. It's an awesome picture.

I've had a M3 LSD and an open diff and it doesn't matter, that bolt shreds if you drive the car hard enough. I have also owned a 87 325is and a 95 325is. The blue car is nothing more than intake, exhaust, suspension, x-brace, and big ass wheels.

This is my blue bmw at the Stone Mountain meet with my roommates black car. He has a white M3 now (same year, just upgraded sedan, LOL).

240hoke. Coming from experience, I own a 96 328is, the single bolt mount in front is not a plus. The bolt tends to snap. I've snapped 3 myself. A company called active autowerke has had to make a brace so that people with some power do not snap the front allignment bolt. If u can somehow use the internals that would be great because they are extremly strong, just not the pumpkin. I have a spare open 3.15 if anyone is intrested and does not want to heed my warning.
  19. Just got my manifold today will put up pictures tomorrow. Just got done with Finals at UGA and am now going to proceed to get drunk and go to an Atlanta Thrashers hockey game tonight. So pictures will have to wait till tomorrow.
  20. yeah where did u get those side skirts and rear skirts? Way to go by the way. Good looking car. I think someone has already said it but one of the guys in the group buy area has some molds made.
  21. I just like the ease of wiring with sds. I am not necessarily hooked on it. Like I said, the wiring is easier but the magnet thing worries me. So if there is a better solution please inform me. Thanks

    Sds & Edis 6????

Is there any updates on this. Or was this idea given up?
  23. I like this setup. It is very well done. I was wondering if the edis setup would work with the sds system? If so how? Hard wire it into the existing harness? I just like the idea of the wheel over the magnet idea. Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.
