  1. Thanks for all of your replies! I will be swaping my gas tank in the next day or so, so well see how well everything works out.
  2. Actually I couldnt find any useful info in my Chilton manual for any car other than the 300zx. I shall look again though...
  3. So I did some searching about EFI gas tanks and found some really good threads, but none that specificly address my question, so here we go: I just got my 1975 tank today that Im going to bolt into my 73z for my EFI conversion. I know There are 5 connections for hoses and one hole. I think the two connections on the top are vents, Two on the bottom are feed/return lines, the big one is the filler neck, but I dont know what the big hole in the side is for. Its about the same size as the filler neck connection, but its just a hole. It has 3 tabs around it. Im guessing maybe fuel sending unit? Anyone know?
  4. Holy crap thats a bunch of turbos.
  5. Just to stirr the pot a bit. On my old enigine I didnt have a bypass line. I had LOTS of issues with over heating, then my engine blew up in a few different ways. Then again I also have an "anti-lion rock" sitting outside my house and I have not once had a lion attack my residence! -Warren
  6. Or as we say in california: "WHOA! Tubular dude...." errr.. thats what we would have said if it were still the 80's I guess....
  7. LOL, no, you have been great, Im the slow one here. This is the intake I'm talking about: http://www.lonewolfperformance.com/graphics/oct1605/Nissan/DSCN1585.jpg
  8. Well it will be finished soon. Im still waiting for a mount to be made for it, once I have the mount and everything running I will post pics. It is totally different than the other supercharged z on here. Mine is a centrifugal and the other guy has a twin screw I think. In anycase if you want to see pictures of the s/c before it goes into the car, they can be found here: http://blucowtech.hopto.org/MyDocs/Media/My%20Pictures/carprojects/supercharger
  9. I have been thinking about getting this intake for my car. So far my setup is as follows: L28et w/stock head and cam centrifugal supercharger that should put out 16-17 lbs of boost 440cc supra injectors megasquirt w/EDIS MSA 6-2 headers 240sx throttle body methanol injection Down the line I plan on building a 3.2L stroker, port/polish the head, mild N/A cam, and throwing in a lightened valve train Would I be justified in getting the spork intake or or would I be better off just a pallnet fuel rail for my supra injectors? I have searched both hear and Zcar.com but I am having a hard time finding people that have actually tired it out. Thanks, Warren
  10. lol, I forgot about those. I have heard of people removing the inserts (or part of the inserts) but its supposed to be pretty tough to do. Why dont you want to go with a turbo head? Are you afraid of lowering compression?
  11. My understanding is that the E88 would give you higher compression and does not flow as well as the n47 unless you do alot of work to it. Why not just get your n47 ported out and maybe a lightened valve train?
  12. Alright, thanks for the help guys. I found a water nozzel made by a company called arizona mist. I should be able to mount it to my throttle body without too much trouble. I will be also be running pure methanol. Thanks for all of your replies! Warren
  13. dr_hunt: This is an EFI setup Im building. Silent: Thanks for the advice, but I think Im gunna go ahead and clown it up. I would rather just see if I can make something myself rather than buy a whole kit. Thats half the fun man! And thanks for the tip about fuel injectors being to big. I will find somthing else.
  14. The reason I wanted to use the fuel injector instead of the windshield washer jets because i figured the fuel injectors would do a better job of making a mist rather than a stream. I have done a bit more reading since my last post and I think I will be using pure methanol, then would it be ok to use fuel injectors w/o SS innards? I assumed you brought that up so I wouldn't have to deal with corrosion. My set up would be similar to GaryZee's where he used a windshield washer pump and a pressure switch to control the whole thing. The only difference would be the injector I use and instead of using a regular fluid container like he did I think I will use the sealed set up that spork suggests. I will be running a centrifugal s/c w/o intercooler. It should be running around 16-17 lbs of boost. Sorry I was a little light on details before, I was in a bit of a hurry at work.
  15. I was planing on building a water injection system for my l28et and had a few questions. 1. Would it be ok to use a left over NA fuel injector as a water injector and have it open only when the pump is on? 2. I have read you can run all water or a mix of alky and water. What are some personal experiances with this? Thanks, Warren
  16. That is an awesome relay board! Very nice! I just finished mine for my megasquirt, and it is not pretty at all. I have all the relays and barrier strips bolted on the side of the ecu case. lol. good job!
  17. Nevermind. I found my answer in a post from TonyD while searching on zcar.com. Tony, is there anything you dont know?
  18. So Im in the process of putting a supercharger into my z and I was wondering what type of cam would be good. I have a mild NA cam that I assume would be a good route to take. I dont think I need a turbo cam since I dont need the same sort of exhaust duration. Anythoughts?
  19. I am working on supercharging my l28 right now... Its not easy. Lots of custom stuff to be done. Also, If you have an L26 you will problably have carbs, which means you need to switch over to efi. (OK, you dont NEED to, but it just gets even harder if you dont). Also you will have to deal with higher compression of the L26 v. L28et. If you want more power out that car and you want somthing that is "easy", just do a turbo swap from an 280zxt.
  20. Thanks guys, I was wanting to just get some felxable rubber hose as a temporary hookup, but I guess it would just be better to do it the right way the first time...
  21. Im looking for a good place to buy some 3" hose so I can route the air coming off my supercharger to my intake manifold. I dont really want to go with one of the "Universal" intercooler pipe kits as I dont exactly know how I am going to be routing it through the engine bay yet. I looked on MSA and VB with no luck. Any thoughts?
  22. I have wanted those for a while. I saw a pair on ebay for CHEAP right when I bought my car, but I passed them up at the time. Ive been kicking myself ever since. Your dad and our friend norm up there are actually the first people I have ever say a bad thing abou them. I think they will be a great addition if you can find them. ON3GO, Now you have me wondering. Why were they so much more functional than regular mirrors in Japan?
  23. Nope, cant veiw the thread if you cant sign in.
  24. I think he is refering to this: http://arizonazcar.com/turbos.html I dont have that particular product myself, but I have done business with arizonazcar in the past and was very pleased. They enjoy a very good reputation, I wouldnt worry about anything they have being 'shady'
  25. What the hell? Looks interesting. I would be tempted to get it and see how it works if I werent going to be doing forced induction.
