  1. What is with those clear wheels? Are they like really thick lexan or something?
  2. I have this video in my sig but I'll put it here since I will change my sig sometime... that is a stock L26 with a mystery header, 2.5 exhaust, roundtop SUs, and 2 individual air filters. The muffler is a generic turbo muffler. I also installed a basic MSD module. The SUs are not tuned at all... EDIT... I LOVE the sound of my L26 but that is not really feasable to go with a L6 anymore...V8 or I4 it will bee...Leaning toward LSx since you guys are such a bad influence...
  3. Well I went to youtube and found this video... I'ts only a minute long but it makes me smile...
  4. VERY sweet!!! I want to do some fun stuff for next year now!!!
  5. This is only for theories...not proofs..If you try to prove a proof on a chart for theories then it won't work...
  6. nope...I think it is stock. It has been raining on the interior for about 10 years now that the convertable top dissolved. It would be a project for sure as I am sure that the floor is long gone.
  7. v, Yeah...something similar to that is what I am looking at doing. I don't reallylike the look of the rear flares on that car but the fronts are ok. I think the rears are too flat and should be angled more down on the top.
  8. Mike: I know!!! There is one that is just sitting right down the street but the guy does not want to sell it!!! it has been sitting for 15 or so years (most of my life) and several people I know have asked him what he wants for it and he won't sell it. Thee is also a little 914 sitting in a garage that I would like to get my hands on. Both of these cars are within a quarter mile of my house! Strotter and MR. Insane...I'll post some of the other pictures of other Zs from that site. I think the orange one is just a regular non vented xenon air dam...I don't know about the flares. I have seen several pictures of Zs with those flares in Japan so it must be a flare that was not exported very much.
  9. I'll definitely look around and contacting some friends. Thanks Mike.
  10. He is obviously not hanging out here enough...
  11. Apparently car guys aren't the only ones that have these problems with having their GF or wife support them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PBkjdRY_-nU
  12. that whatever kit they are selling now is something they did I think and does not look that great IMO...now that they know what people want they are more open to ideas. Personally I am going to try and keep my Z all metal unless I do a g-nose then it will be just minimal FG... Extra big like the BRAAP wide ZGs?
  13. The main thing is that the LSx motors are not cheap...I am looking to spend my $5k on engine, tranny, and driveshaft. That plus the mounts. The car will be used as a track car so I want a long power band. I was considering this consecutive turbocharger setup to make a long boost range on an L6 but by the time I have that I have spent $5k on just the engine and I'll need a better tranny and clutch to hold the power. It would be nice to go LSx but I don't think I can wing that much cash around as a college student...I mean 5k is really pushing what I will be able to get and I am not going in debt any more than I can help it. Right now I am pretty open to any engine. I just want a high revving motor with lots of torque available. My Z is going to be a track car mainly so it won't see too many miles but I don't want to be out the roof in gas prices when I do drive it.
  14. I have emailed him a few ideas a while back and they are looking at coming out with a body kit like nothing else that has been done yet. It seems like they are looking for something a little more tasteful (less ricey looking) than the MSA type 3 but still agressive. It will probably be bond on as well. since making full front fenders is more expensive and time consuming. I am excited to see someone coming out with a G-nose that is a decent price and since they say the method they use of fiberglass is easy to repair in the event of a wreck.
  15. I know...I want to find a way to stay L6 but for $5000 I could have a V8 making 600+hp for the same price or less. Right now I have pretty much made up my mind that there are more cost effective ways to get gobs of power and be easy to find parts for. I am still searching for motors but I am thinking of going small(er)V8 with a shorter stroke. 289 SBF or something similar.
  16. Here is a pic of the g-nose with scraper. It looks like there may be some wavyness in the middle or it could just be the lighting . I think this would work great with a splitter.
  17. I went from 14x6.5 eagle wheels to 15x8 steel diamonds and gained a few pounds but increased tire size to a 225/60R15, 26" tall tire and noticed a little bit more sluggish response in acceleration but my "S12-8" Toyota brakes that do a much better job at stopping the car than the stock calipers.
  18. The guy that got the motor is at college in florida and told me he will be getting the motor going this winter break or during summer.
  19. racerx: Yes they did buy the molds from AZ Zcar. I did a few sketches to them for ideas... I tried to search for them but searching for "Z fiberglass" on here is pretty useless...
  20. The little red go-kart like thing that is in front of the Zs...914? Found the pic on www.jcca.cc
