  1. I have never seen so many hacked up Zs...
  2. ooh...nice! You have basically the same clutch as me...except I got the stage 2+. It is really weird for the fitrst 30 miles and then at around 600miles it is worn in. You could get BRAAP of rusch motorsports to do headwork. I will use rusch motorsports one day on a turbo build...
  3. driftn280zx has some sweet widebody drwawings too...
  4. I like it but won't use it on the Z...maybe on an offroad vw bug some day...or a beater Z...I may get a 280 ZXT to put into my 260 and I could swap in my 260 motor and make it a beater...with a camo paint job...there are plenty of rednecks around here that it would fit right in.
  5. well if you want to make a lot of stuff that requires back purgeing: www.weldhugger.com or since you are doing a header and want to di it cheaper...block off one end of the tube you are welding on and on the other end block it off but put the tube from your flowmeter through the block off. You will need a second argon tank, flowmeter, and tube to backpurge sucessfully. I had a friend that made a "orange juice container" *cough* out of stainless and just stuck a second tube in there and blocked the rest off to keep it safe to drink out of
  6. first of all buy it without the cart and build a cart as your first project. does that site give free shipping? If not than this will be a better price http://store.cyberweld.com/millermatic175.html cyberweld has great prices and free shipping.
  7. wow olie...that last video was amazing!!! it even has vented rotors and brake pads!!!
  8. I guess if you would ask the forum administrators and send them the url of this thread they may consider a sketches forum. That camo paint job looks straight out of mad max...perfect...At ZdayZ I listed my car as a Datsun 260Z Mad Max edition...lol and it looked it.
  9. THAT IS AN AWESOME IDEA!!! that street camo looks sweet...giving me some crazy ideas...post apocolyptic paint job...that would be cool... veritech...looks right except the s130 windows...I was just thinking of the rear quarter panel having the rising star...but that looks cool too. the hardest part would be getting it even. I would not want to get shot up by a ww2 veteran when they see a rising star...maybe I would do it on the roof general lee style. That street camo is growing on me really fast...
  10. I just have an xbox...not the 360...I worked on it a little to fix the front end and am upoading a pic now. I always tend to extend one side of the front end more than the other. I think the new version looks better but still needs work on the rear end as you said. I changed the roof and window so it looks less 2+2. *edit* looks like the driver side fender line rises too high. Got to fix. *edit*
  11. thanks! I have done a few Zs but they all looked weird because I could not get the roof anywhere near close. these two are much better. I started by tracing pics of Zs and have tried a few freehand with no aids but those were pitiful...and the posted pic looks too chopped...I did both of these riding in a car on teh highway...I have since fixed the bulged roof of the top pic and made the quarter window look much better. I am starting college this fall so I won't be wrenching on the Z at all but will be able to do more drawings of what my Z will become.
  12. you do have that crazy low offset on a really wide wheel...I am guessing that it is your stub axle though. I would think that the really low offset could put a lot of force on your stub axle.
  13. pointers...definitely... I was thinking of doing a rising star on a rear fender and paint the wheel red.
  14. drew this one freehand...except for the wheels...copied their outer shape out of a porsche magazine. the attached one is not as good. wheels way too big... not bad for someone who has never had a second of art instruction...
  15. I've seen that somewhere on the web before...it is pretty sad. I would not even do it to a third gen...maybe a fifth gen...
  16. I don't know...even my video on the tail of the dragon it is raining...go figure. I do have that one video when it is not raining...plus I won't break traction when it rains...not fun getting sideways going around a turn at high speeds... here is my one video when it is not raining...and my clutch was worn in...and when the car was not brocken down... I just don't think it is possible for a stock spec cam to break away 225 width tires at 3500 rpms like at the stop sign...I wasn't even trying to break loose. 17. wow! I had no idea!!! that is soo cool and it sounds like a real ferrari!!!
  18. thanks guys. I may be able to get a regrind next summer if not this summer. I was also looking at the isky cams... I have a question though. If you want more lift on a cam and you get it reground wouldn't that reduce the amount of lift? Or do they weld the lobes larger before machining? that is something I have been wondering.
  19. I like it...that way you can just remove the center section to get a floor jack under. actually it is trash...sell it to me for $5 and I will dispose of it for you.
  20. I just checked the cam and it has the "C" on the back. The above quote states the "C" grind as a high performance cam...so is it stock or is it not?
  21. Thanks for those pics BRAAP!!! I have always thought about building a minituare V8 but I figured it was too complex for anyone to attempt a small V8...that blower looks soo awesome!! they need to start doing entire muscle cars at that exact scale...that would be sweet! a 1/5 or 1/6 scale general lee! Now time to do a minature L28det!
  22. click the link and go down to the video that says pinks http://www.competitionplus.com/video/videoondemand.php looks like one powerful car!!!
  23. I have no clue...just saw the video on streetfire and had to post it...
