  1. I likey...have you seen the supercharged zx with the SC on the passenger side? It is along side of the the cylinder head. Be sure that you leave easy access to the spark plugs. Good luck Mario!!
  2. I am working on wetsanding my 3rd coat of black on the roof. It will need two more coats before I am done for sure. got to go to work...
  3. POP... Don't just worry about it! just get some S30 chassis and clean it up ready to modify/restore or whatever. Then when someone is looking for a clean chassis to start with you can rake in top dollar...
  4. John, so does this also apply for a turbo header? I have an N/A header and the lengths vary from 20-26"... It is not ideal for length but it sure sounds good!
  5. I was just wondering how much junk people store...it's not fair that BRAAP and others have whole shops to store their junk...of course BRAAP turns his "junk" into another man's treasure and rakes in by doing so... lol
  6. what!!! $900 for a rack!! you could have a new front subframe built for that much!!!
  7. yeah...that is true. Or just sand past the rustoleum... but it will be after I graduate from college until I get a real paint job...and I will be doing some serious body mods before that too.
  8. I guess they like the bickering about unerhood pressure... I was TRYING to explain to thumbody over there that air hits the firewall and then hits the hood and compresses and pushes itself under the car creating underhood PRESSURE and that air being stagnant under the hood is closed minded... the response I got was "That's not logical"...and now they don't want to see proof of the aero problems and their fixes. It may prove that CHANGING the Z's body will IMPROVE the car. That would be against their closed-eyed knowledge that the Z is the perfect shape for everything... aero and looks.
  9. I stripped the roof but just sanded my hood.... this paint sticks to anyhting!! it sticks to cats, dogs, Z cars, A,C,B,D,E,F,G,H,I,J, and K body mopars, christmas trees, TVs, fridges(It's been done), carpet, skin (unfortunately), and many other things...
  10. I hope I can donate sometime around christmas... Anyway I posted about this project on Z***.com and the thread got promptly deleted...Oh well.
  11. On the mopar site someone talked about rolling on mettalics doesn't work too well. I guess you could spray it on though.
  12. personally I like the schumacher chassis cars...retarted fast too... One like this is about $400 http://www.frontlinehobbies.com.au/Shop/productDetails.aspx?productID=0085117 their main site http://www.racing-cars.com/usa/main.asp top speed: 80mph 3.5cc engine... fastest touring RC car ever created..
  13. do you have any local hobby shops? Also what scale are the bodies? 1/10 or 1/8? You could get a used gas powered chassis for like $150 or so that will do like 60mph...
  14. I hope to one day work with fiberglass...you are just soo good Terry!!!
  15. The regular stops rust is NOT the SAME as the stops-rust "professional". I have seen people over on the mopar site that tried with regular and did not have very good results. It could be that it is just different paint though..
  16. I just wipe it down with mineral spirits. Works really well and already have the stuff...
  17. tomorrow morning I will add the fourth coat to the roof and wetsand with 600 grit paper. then I will decide if I need to add another final coat before polishing. Once I get the roof done I will do the rear fenders, doors, and hood (you have to lean against the side of the car to sand the roof..). This is going to look soo great!!! I will go out tomorrow and get some 1000 and 1500 grit paper to get a good finish.
  18. just finished about 1.5 hours of wetsanding my roof and then added another coat of rustoleum in 15 minutes including mixing time...lol Wetsanding is a LOT of work but it will be worth it.
  19. flap discs really work well for smoothing out stuff. In welding class when we were building grills we would use them to smooth out welds. If it can smooth steel welds it should smooth some aluminum like it's butter!
  20. the rolling puts it on thick but...you get low spots. You have to sand them out. Veritech: As soon as I can come up with a wicked neon green color I will put it over the gloss black. I'll probably get some pinstriping tape (like if I were doing flames) to do the outline and then add regular painters tape outside of the pinstripe tape to keep the rollover off. clearcoat: the problem is that you can't go back and sand more and do an easy repair. If you do a wax it would be fine but I would not do a clearcoat.
  21. I was going to cut it up and throw it away....NOT! it is not the slim 240 bumper...it is the fat 240 bumper... still not too bad. I won't be using it though...
