  1. I didn't think it could have been misinterpreted. cameron, You can pick up the transverse link bolt at the Nissan dealer. Expect to pay around $30 for one. Make sure you apply anti-sieze on the bolt before installing. This aids installation and future removal. !M!
  2. Put the nut back on the "lock bolt" but not to far (don't expose any threads) and tap it up. Putting the nut back on helps prevent the threads from getting damaged. Once the lock bolt is out, the transverse link pin A.K.A. spindle pin/bolt, will slide out. BUT most of the time they are rusted in place. Many have come up with new swear words trying to remove them. There is a tool that has been passed around HybridZ that really helps with the removal. Search for "spindle pin removal tool" and you should find something. !M!
  3. I said my name was SEX. And she loved it. !M!
  4. Happy birthday! ...wait, wrong smilie.... (that's the one ) !M!
  5. Thanks Metro! Tim, I just got the broken picture thing and nothing loaded up, that's why I thought it was a picture. EDIT: That's an old video that was posted on here a while ago. !M!
  6. Here, read this So You Want A 3.8 Turbo Z Car Personaly, I would build up a small block Chevy on the side, while you're still driving your car. Read up and build the engine right for turbocharging. When the time comes, swap engines, then sell the stock engine. Don't forget, with more power, you will need to upgrade things like: brakes, chassis, differential, halfshafts, stub axles, transmission, fuel system, ect. Twin Turbo 350 V-8 sounds cool, but it's not cheap. !M!
  7. Hey, that's pretty cool! I like it. Yeah, how are you going to latch that thing? !M!
  8. Huh? No picture Rufus! !M!
  9. Phil, Thanks again for the heads up! That guys answers were chopped english. I just couldn't get the right answer out of him. He even replied to me once, thinking I was asking about a scanner he was selling... this is after a few e-mails have been exchanged between us about the differential. I just didn't want to take a $250 (minimum) chance on this guy, so I posted about it. I also got an e-mail this evening from the guy saying how many teeth were on the ring and pinion. And that was it, a very short answer. Not a way to do business. At least he pulled the auction. !M!
  10. I have talked to this guy several times, but he still will not open up the cover and tell me what numbers are stamped on the ring gear. He says a guy in his Z club checked it and he also checked it and it's indeed a 3.36 ratio. Since he won't tell me or show me (asked for a picture too) what I need, maybe somebody else would like to take a chance. His reserve is set at $175. Here's the auction: click here !M!
  11. I don't even know what to say... click here The last quote has me miffed. You think he pulled that out'a his back pocket or what? !M!
  12. CruxGNZ

    Just got a Z

I second the Factory Service Manual. To see the details it gives you, just look at my "sticky"'s in the Brakes, Wheels, Suspension, and Chassis forum and the Ignition and Electrical sub-forum of Engine Components. Those diagrams were scanned directly from it. A Factory Service Manual can be had for around $10-$40 depending on condition. !M!
  13. Hey, I guess you didn't jinx yourself! Way to go on the tens! !M!
  14. Sure looks like it. Lots of glass there! !M!
  15. Well, my Mom has told me that since I was a little boy. !M!
  16. The issue before it had "Lil Evo" in it. This is a total sleeper cruising the streets around here. Simply amazing car! !M!
  17. That's wierd. When I hit the edit button, the first thing I see at the top of the page, is a box for deleting a message: "To delete this message, check the appropriate option below and then click the 'Delete this Message' button." Followed by some options for deletion of a message. If I scroll down a bit more, then I have my edit options. I thought everybodys would be the same? !M!
  18. Bottom right corner of your post, you will see an EDIT button. Click it and read the edit page. !M!
  19. Haha, you should have heard the Bob & Brian morning show here having fun with this when the new law came up. The gun sound effects and the dimwitt, Kentucky drawl voices almost made me pee my pants !M!
  20. Ohhh... you shouldn't jinx yourself! Tisk, tisk... !M!
  21. They're all nuts. We are up to our arms in freekin' cats. These cats that are "roaming" Wisconsin are not the type to be held and played with. Actually, have any of you seen the video of "Pinky" the cat? You know, the cat that was made famous for going nuts and bitting that officer in his nuts...er, inner thigh? That is what all these feral cats are like, they're mental (read: unlike normal house cats). I'll pull my 22 cal. out and pluck a few off myself. This being said after my parents just got a black cat named Harley today. Just because people keep them as pets, all the animal lovers freak out with no mention of what the feral cats (the same cats in question!) are like. People keep rats as pets, so why don't we hear about the killing of rats in New York? Anyways, the news is saying that the law won't go into effect... but just because the 10 o'clock news said so, soesn't mean it's true now days. I guess we will see. !M!
  22. Speaking of power and a 914... remember this puppy? click here !M!
  23. Those look identical to EMI Racing's camber plates seen here . !M!
  24. Those are Mikelly's front control arms that are no longer produced. He can tell you where to get that piece. Just so you know, there has been quite a bit of talk about adjustable control arms on this site. If the search function is working properly, there will be a lot to read on this subject. !M!
