  1. I'm with Joshua here. Loose the blue stripe, it looks out of place. If you need to, use some pinstripe material and do it yourself after it's painted. If you like it keep it, if not, peel it off. Hmmm, with the black hood and gun metal color, you will have something almost identical to my Z when I paint it. !M!
  2. Two words come to mind viewing the latest pictures... spaghetti and sexy. !M!
  3. Well Garrett and I modified his KA tranny earlier today. I had no idea what I was getting into, I wish I had read this thread earlier . Garrett will most likely chime in later to add to this. Well, here are some pictures... Above, #1 was drilled out to 5/8". #2 shows the Z countershaft bearing in place of the KA bearing. (Yes, pain in the butt to remove the KA bearing! Had to modify a bearing puller) Above, the area inside the red circle had to be milled out. I believe at least 3/32" was removed. The picture above points to where a C clip should be holding in the bearing, but the bearing just would not come out any further. So, we elected to leave it off. Experts, PLEASE let us no what may happen if this clip is left off. The bearing is a tight fit inside the bellhousing. It can't go back into the tranny, and it can't come out, because of the cover. I guess, if need be, the bearing can be pulled off the shaft slightly to allow the clip to be put in place. Well, this was very interesting to say the least. Learned a lot about these tranny's and this whole 'modification'. I was just helping Garrett out, I had no idea what I was getting myself into . !M!
  4. 95% of us have that! We all see it, we all think it, but as far as I know, you're the only one that has voiced it. As soon as you get settled, you will spend a good weekend and go through the car and make everything the way it should be and walk away with one hell of a grin. !M!
  5. I second that. Where are some pictures! !M!
  6. Whatever happened to using brake fluid? !M!
  7. If you look real close, it says "EJECT". !M!
  8. For what it's worth, I had a rock fall into the rear control arm and drove me fricken nuts, because I couldn't see it. Took a while to find out it was a rock making all that noise. I'm thinking maybe the alignment shop guy dropped a nut/bolt and it fell into the control arm. Just another possibility. !M!
  9. Hey, that's what I used to make mine Where is Owen, he has been looking for those! !M!
  10. I believe that's the first time we have ever seen the dash of the blueovalz! Beautiful work Terry! I love how the gauges are angled towards the driver as they spread across the dash. Now where is that smilie that's bowing down, as if to say I'm not worthy... there he is !M!
  11. This post also has some good information in it. It was for a R200, not a R180 though. Click Here !M!
  12. I don't know man, she doesn't have any feedback. Well, right now she's cheaper than a hooker in Vegas. Just read a bit more into the ad... she'll let you do her for 3 hours. If I bid and win, I wonder what we would do for the next 2 hours and 45 minutes !M!
  13. I think JC Whitney has something similar. Might check them out. !M!
  14. So, what was in it? It might be nothing... think about it. What is greater than God, More evil than the devil, The poor have it, The rich need it, And if you eat it, you'll die? The answer, nothing. !M!
  15. Not really But I'll just take a bunch of pictures and hopefully you will get the shot you want. Also, I am not running a front bumper, but you'll still be able to see how it attaches. !M!
  16. If you want a picture of what it looks like after my fix, then I'll post one for you. !M!
  17. From MSA. Not sure. It was quite a bit off and there is a lot of downforce on those front bolts, that's why I went the route I did. Ah yes, the clean Z that made it to the pages of Sport Compact Car along with that beautiful 510. Just go to MSA http://motorsportauto.com/ and look through the catalog. !M
  18. Hmm... I'm heading down for the SEZS and am planning to buy a couple products from you in the near future (300ZX CV Conversion Package & 5 Lug Rear Stub Axles). Will you have products on hand to buy at the SEZS or products to just show everyone? !M!
  19. That was pretty fun. Chatted a couple times actually. !M!
  20. That was probably me. Although my airdam was made for a 280Z (I wanted to eliminate the stock turnsignals). On my '73, it just didn't fit right for some reason. I haven't met another person with the same problem. Since I used the wrong part number for my car, I can't comment on the fit, but the quality is maybe... a 7 out of 10. There is quite a bit of work to be done before I paint it. !M!
  21. Are the pictures of differential with the cover off? If not, there isn't much we can tell you as far as gear ratio goes. For that, the easiest way is to remove the cover and read the numbers on the ring gear. Just divide the first set of numbers by the second set. It will look like this 37:11 That would be a 3.36. Now if you just want to know if the 280ZX has a R180 or a R200, that can be identified by the pictures. Send the pictures to me if you like. Just click my user name on the left and a drop down menu will appear, then click "view public profile", then under "contact information" click "send an e-mail". !M!
  22. Well, they aren't professionals, like we think we are !M!
