    i was in your same position about 3 years ago. but with a 240sx i decided to keep the z. Its on jackstands as I type but im glad i didn't jump ship. z's are unique little cars.

    The used $50 header I have installed on my car is not a thick as the stock cast header. The stock header (imo) muffles some of the valvetrain?/engine noise. so that's what I meant by "increase in engine noise." maybe I'm just being a little picky. The header barely did anything for performance on my stock l28. That is why I suggested to skip it unless further modifications are added to compliment the headers. It's still a decent mod. My car did sound a lot faster.

    headers can increase engine noise unless you want that. there isn't really a big big increase on performance unless your engine is modded otherwise. i'd say just get an nice 2.5" exhaust done.. Borla mufflers sound good on the L series imo. your wheel/tire combo is probably fine for now. I would save for the 16x8 xxr's or something similar.

    afaik the w58 cant hold too much and theres alot of differences between the r154 and w58. the r154 is a ton(literally) beefier the rb20 tranny is similar to the sr tranny except it has a shorter tail end housing (don't have to shorten the driveshaft) so if you are going for higher hp stuff though, it might still fail there is the z32 tranny option but i don't know much about it

    what kinda of mpg's does it get anyways? i say get a g nose. your car would look great with it while improving its aerodynamics

    chrome lip, all black wheels look like steelies. imo but then again...that little color scheme you got going on might work.

    just get it running right these cars are awesome anyways wheels and tires would be the best first mod the rest of the mods are a little more demanding as soon as you start modding one part of the car that mod leads to the next to get it running properly and in-sync (imo) if i were to redo my car it would be in packages like this 1. wheels/tires/brake pads 2. engine work/engine management 3 suspension/frame work/diff exhaust is good too throw in there
