Check your advance also. When I got mine, when they hacked it they couldn't get the distributor to move anymore and left it at 0. It was a dog until the turbo kicked in. Had to weld on half a washer on the other side of the distributor and bumped the timing to 13degrees. and it was much more responsive.

Hi All, I have a set of the JDM Chrome Headlight Covers off my 240zt that I might sell to upgrade the car. What do you think they are worth if the rings are in perfect shape and one plastic cover has a small crack in it? No scratches on the rings and the plastic looks great except for the crack(about one inch off the front.) The prices I've seen seem very high but a lot of demand. Thanks Chris

On my 240z where the gas goes in , on the inside behind a panel is a breather tube that was connected by a plastic connector that was completely broken. The car was venting the gas right into the vehicle, when the windows were down it smelled bad and whipped around the car, when they were rolled up not so bad. Good luck

Just wanted to invite anyone that would like to go on a fun cruise through some great roadways in N.H. A quote "This is a touring rally through the back roads of central New Hampshire. The route visits a number of New Hampshire's lakes and ponds and will introduce you to some parts of the state that you have probably never visited before. The rally starts at the lake Massabesic Water Supply Picnic Area in Auburn, NH. To reach the start location, take Route 101 to exit 1. Go south on Rte 28 Bypass aka Londonderry Turnpike. The entrance to the picnic area will be on your left just beyond the rotary. The gate opens at 8:00. We will hold a short drivers meeting at 8:30 and be on the road by 9:00. The rally is 153 miles long to Wolfeboro and takes about 5 hours to run straight through (no breaks). We will allow time for a lunch stop in Alton Bay. It's also 85 octane so it will be to low for a Z. On my ford you are supposed to run only regular for gas 87, if you run 93 it will run worse because ford programmed the computer and calibrated it for 85 ethanol and 87 regular. Saves me .20$ a gallon tho!!! Chris

I have a 99 Ford Ranger 4x4 with a 3.0 litre flexible fuel vehicle. It would run fine. Alot of taurus' have that motor also. Chris

Yup it is his old car. The person who did the swap only tack welded in pieces of metal all around the shifter tunnel and never finished welding, had to form the metal around the housing. Rebuilt the left rear caliper(79-81) and new rear brake lines and pads. The gas breather tube was broken/disconnected behind the passenger panels and fixed that so after a cruise everything is not shades of orange and purple. Fixed the cold air intake with a mandrel bent tube and fixed some exhaust leaks before the turbo. Put a new wiper motor and fluid tank/motor so I could pass inspection. Boost gauge installed. Fixed a fuel leak at the tank output nipple.(J/B Weld rules!)( I hate draing tanks). Put in body drain plugs and filled all holes in floor. Fixed fuel pump to work on ignition not a seperate switch. New shifter rubber boots, window crank, euchlons(sp?) and resprayed floor, all new vacuum lines, belts, tune -up, etc..And some miscellanious stuff. It runs great and is much faster than my 280. It's got the 60mm throttle body, no emissions, 77 electronics and dash, and 81 turbo motor with 81 5-spd. The wheels are Konig Rewinds Graphite 15x7 with BF Goodrich G-Force Sports 225/50/15 . I've just got to figure out why my drivers front directional doesnt work but the running light works and it isn't the bulb I've tried 4. I use a multimeter and I can see it jumping like the socket is working but the bulb won't flash in blinker/hazard mode? That and the drivers siderail on the seat is broken so it goes back. 2 problems and I should be good to go. Chris

Thanks. I should just get a new air dam, that one is fiberglass and has been patched a few times already and needs more now. It's lowered about 1.5" I'd say, it has the Eibach springs, maybe 2 inches. It looks alot lower than my stock 280. Chris

Thanks. The clock in my 280 works and it's what drains my battery.! It looks pretty good in there. I put the green condom on the bulb, it is much brighter than my other stock gauge lights but draws your attention to the boost thats for sure. Chris
