  1. Alot of cars are shipped from the N.E. to FLA for the winter, check out some car transporters as Orlando is a popular destination, if they are doing a run that way, doors to them will be no problem, they should charge you a fair price, alot less than $500.
  2. Man, I'm starting to think these forum's were designed just to make me jealous. Looks great.
  3. Very nice, sounds great and looks sharp.!
  4. If that were available in NH, I'd hop on it. I'm sure your dump won't appreciate that rollbar when u rip it out, so I'll arrange for shipping. 8) You should see the dashes on my 2 Z's. 8( Good luck
  5. Keep up the great work. Your videos are excellent and show how to make the best of a bad situation. Too bad patience is something you either have or don't, but glad you do. I'm sure your car will come out as a superior representation of what can be done, if done right. Thanks for sharing with us. Chris
  6. Cool. Hey eric check out http://www.zccne.org . I'm a member there and alot are from Ma. also. I'm surprised the rims cost them that much considering through the NASA deal they were $55 each + shipping(no sales tax in NH but Property taxes will kill you). Now the deal seems even sweeter. I'd really like to organize some impromtu Z rides come spring as the web is fun but driving the Z on windy N.E. roads at Z acceptable speeds can't be beat. 8) I noticed Brandon is from Me. so alot of people here could make for a good cruise. I will post some pics when I get mine on, but I am in no hurry considering we got 4 inches of snow today. 8; I feel like a bottle of Heinz, anticipation is killing me. 8) Keep on Z'in Chris
  7. Ripped my rims out of the box so fast you think I would have looked harder. DOH!!!! The caps were in there 8) After doing hours of reading on all the Z forums, I think I will go with 225/50/15's. I found the reason mine were rubbing on my '72 240zt was they are not 0 offset. I looked at my '78 with cyclones and same size tire(195/70/14) and they did not stick out nearly as far, so hopefully with the 225/50/15's on the rewinds it will work with the eibach springs. Funny you mentioned the T/C rods because I got the Energy Susp. set for my 280 and did the whole front and when I put them on I had the car on stands and it wasn't high enough that I could use my torque wrench as it was too long and bad angle. When I get it on a lift I will check the torque setting as I guessed and have a bad habit of overtightening things. Thanks for bringing that up. Think I'll invest in a short breakaway torque wrench. Chris
  8. Looks good man. I think I'll go with 205/55's also. Does anyone know where to get center caps that fit the rewinds?
  9. Hope she's alright. I would give NASA a call and see what they say, just passing on what I heard. I checked the NASA site out before I posted and it doesn't mention KONIG anywhere so who knows. But I spoke to Jim at KONIG and as he is the Sales Manager... You never know. Hope the dog does well. Chris
  10. That stinks, I had the same problem with new 195/70/14's on 7" rims on my lowered 240z, hits the same. With the 15" I have a set of ok STAR H-rated on my 95 passat 205/50/15, the tire comparator says it is alot smaller but with the car being lowered quite a bit I was wondering if those would look ok. It would save me a bit of money to just reuse them. On tires.com they have some Falken ZE-512 at 205/60/15 H for $47 each and free shipping. I don't want to cut the fenders at all or install flares, the same tire in a 205/55/15 is $68(but V rated) any opinions on what will work on a lowered 240z w/eibach springs with the 15" rewinds that wont rub at turn and bumps? Thanks Chris
  11. Spoke with KONIG today and it looks like the deal is over. It was a NASA deal and as NASA isn't advertising the deal at all... Chris
  12. Funny, they look EXACTLY like the ones that showed up on my doorstep today. Can't seem to wipe the silly grin off my face. I could use a set on my other Z, hey Mom wanna join NASA and support your country 8) Thanks NASA and KONIG. Any recommendations on tires that will be used more for fun than daily driving? Chris
  13. Just got my rewinds today. Can't beat the deal. I ordered in November per this thread and it's all good. They look perfect, silver w/polished lip 15". Now to chose the tires, any recomendations for 15" tires on a lowered 240z w/L28ET that will be more than daily driver, looking for more high performance. Thanks Chris
  14. Sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere. Not enough power to one realy , so it isn't switching fully. Like the old Ford starter relays, if the power is not strong enough, it won't pull the washer to make the connection. I'd trace the wires and check around the relay's. Chris
  15. I took it off, I will mess with it later. No one has one in stock, Advanced has the best price. $77. Will probably have to order them. Do you need to get a shim kit?? Anything else I should order with the calipers to make it work good? Don't want to mess with them again.
  16. Thanks. That just upped the price $24 each. Should I get a seal rebuild kit and do both sides or new calipers??? Thanks
  17. Hi all. I bought a '72 240 w/'82 L28ET recently. I have been doing alot of work on it. A steel brake line was rubbing on the driveshaft and wore a hole in it. It was like that for awhile. When I got it all going, it must have blown the oiston, fluid is coming out the rear dust seal. I imagine I should get a pair of calipers, but I don't know what year this rear disc conversion is. I imagine '82 also, but I have no idea. I looked in microfiche but can't tell there. Can anyone I.D. this for me? Also you can see the driveshaft in the photo and the emerg. brake cable was rubbing it for a long time, no boot, some rust, crud??? Thanks Chris
  18. Well I had to get thicker than stock, almost twice as thick but tight on the bolt. Took it for a spin, no leak!!! Thanks. Anyone think there is a chance the 2 new gaskets might restrict the oil flow? Looked like there was enough allowance on the Banjo Bolt to flow fine. Thanks again, Chris
  19. Searched the net more. Guess I need copper crush washers. No to call the autopart stores... Chris
  20. Another question. I just called nissan and he said they are definately copper washers.? Could I use brass or do they have to be copper? Thanks Chris
  21. And the 2 washers hold the oil in? Should I remove it and take them somewhere and match up? or do you think I should go nissan parts? Thanks Chris
  22. Hi, I have a '72 with '82 L28et swap, the oil in bolt on the turbo oil line is leaking around it. I cleaned it and drove it and it does it constantly. I looked it up on microfieche and it says it's part of an engine gasket kit, I don't need a whole kit. My question is can I get universal gasket hi-temp and cut myself or do I need their's? Also, the way the big bolt is with the oil intake it almost looks like there should be o-rings in there or else I don't see how it would keep oil in without them. It actually doesn't seem like it's leaking from where the 2 bolts are around it where the "gasket" should be? I haven't taken it apart yet so I have no idea. Thanks Chris
