  1. Thats the one. I believe "Z-Ya" is using it on his Z? A local chap has picked up a used one as well... I've gotten involved in a Wolf install on it. Looking forward to the results. Its just different strokes, yes? I can find appreciation in just about any of it.
  2. Interesting. How certain are you? Most of them seem to be coming with the bypass these days... I've often wondered what it does to response. Seems logical (to me anyway) that it would take time to open/close. What was your experience?
  3. Ahhhhh... the 'T' could easily make all the difference. If we're talking factory sequential turbos, I suspect you're correct... it's probably a fairly heavy package.
  4. This page explains it pretty well... http://www.megasquirt.info/ms2/EDIS.htm
  5. Speaking for Paul since is his temporarly unavailable... yes, he did both... the fasteners are there for redundancy. I prefer to do it the way I did in the above picts... machine the teeth in the damper. That was a 510 damper, BTW. Sadly, the Z's damper is more difficult to do this way.
  6. Welcome, If you're talking about positive displacement SC's (like pictured above), then yes it can be the answer. With this type there is no lag and usable boost can be made at 1000 RPM. Primary drawbacks are lowered fuel economy coupled with big HP numbers being difficult to achieve due to the low adiabatic efficiency (meaning, heating the air substantially for a given amount of boost), and parasitic losses.
  7. I'm not entirely convinced of that. I believe its generally agreed that a SBF is lighter than a comparably equiped SBC. In weighing the LS1, its not as much lighter as frequently touted... http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=115995&highlight=ls1+traditional I'm not disagreeing with you... I don't have enough concrete data to unequivocally say one way or another. I'm just a little skeptical on HOW much difference there really is.
  8. Mike/Careless, You guys are hired
  9. MUCH better, thanks! Did you only adjust the levels?
  10. I would agree, EDIS is pretty forgiving, IME.
  11. I can't compete with $.75... I did however, do it inexpensively... . . .
  12. Took these a few minutes ago at Rosalyn Lake (about a stone throw from our place). Not sure if I like them or not... . .
  13. For the record, no bleach or Photoshop was ever used in any of our posted pics. (save for color/contrast/croppping). Closest thing was this pic... in which a bit (ok, a LOT) of soap was used .
  14. Sure could... else they might be out of business SDS is not pricey. EFI Technology's 'top-shelf' is $25K... its all relative Not surprised... also not a disappointment. My opinion?... seriously consider what your local shop's are using.
  15. If you're going to autoX, like you stated, my opinion would be to stay away from the viscous diffs... they lock-up 'soft' and 'late'.
  16. V, C'mon man... I did it with a whimpy little 4 banger.... . . Heck, even this grocery getter can do it.... .
  17. I'm not a Toyota guy... so the 510 wins by default
  18. I can get the smoke out of your MS box
  19. Dude, thats the butt-ugliest Z... glad you sold it
