  1. i said the same thing, crossed my fingers and hoped they'd turn out with the look i was hoping for Tires are on their way here, 275/40/17 sumitomo htr z II rear and 255/40/17 front I will mount them with the whole wheel polished but will most likely do a brushed finish on the face to break up the wheel Wheels are 17x9.5" all around with 5" bs The front and rear wheels fit on with stock suspension and i think the front tire may even clear with the stock suspension the rear tire wont, need coilovers Also, I am getting carbon fiber ZG flares
  2. Finally, they arrived, bootyful 17x9.5 all around with 5" bs Centerline big sur 2 piece forged wheels, look much better in person and without those UGLY centercaps Fit nice, the wheels fit stock suspension, but the tires wont, at least in the back, just as I had predicted, but coilovers are on the way. I ordered the tires today from tirerack and they will be here tomorow. 275/40/17 rear and 255/40/17 front. The wheels look GREAT, they are light and look very clean. The lip is HUGe and they look good on the car. I lifted it up and put 1 side of wheels on and will snap some pictures, now im contemplating whether I should go to it with a scotchbrite pad and give it that brushed look or leave it polished, its pretty shiny, which im not a huge fan off, so we'll see when theyre mounted Should have it back on the ground with tires tomorow night!!!
  3. sweet. Mine is a 355 built bottom end, stock heads for now, lt4 hotcam for now, 1.6 rr, 52mm tb, slightly milled head with thinner felpro gasket, electric water pump, no accessories, sanderson headers, and will be tuned with tunercat on our dyno. Im going to shoot for 320whp as it sits to break it in, then step up with the cc306 cam and complete headjob on the stock heads. I will probably spray a 125shot on that, whatever it takes to get a 10.99:mrgreen:
  4. how did you get to 404whp on an lt1? Thats awesome power. I'd like to know some of your parts:)
  5. Well it just got done and its on the way to me For the money, you guys were right, its worth it Not only did he fix the whole harness(since it was damaged by fire) he replaced all bad plugs, ADDED a 6 speed vss sensor, pulled all the emissions, pulled the auto plug, added the fuel pump and fan relay, added a check engine light and will even throw in a map sensor since mine burned up Not a bad deal, cant wait to get it back and wire it in.
  6. patiently waiting, should be here at the end of the week!!!!! 17x9.5, 2 piece forged, 5" bs, all around. most likely 275/40/17 rear, 255/40/17 front
  7. compared to your picture, i should theoretically have 1/2" more lip then right? Since mine are 9.5" wide and 5" bs. I hope they stick out far enough to fill in the zg flares, if not, i can just run a wider tire, im sure i can go up to a 295/40/17 on a 9.5" rim We'll see, I cant wait to get mine, im gonna do the brushed look first to get rid of the polished spokes, and then if i still dont like it, ill get it painted flat black center How much lip do you have?

    ccw's....yuum
  9. just dont keep the center cap, please, centerline has the most hidious centercaps when i ordered my custom spec'd wheels from them, i told him straight up, KEEP the center caps...he laughed, i wasn't joking..lol They are truck centercaps, just looks weird the wheel looks nicer with just the lugs showing.... paint looks great, what color is that? Im gonna do mine flat black
  10. HOLY **** i didnt know someone made a badass strut bar like that, that is NUTSO, i'll be definetly getting one, thats purty
  11. 2 strips going up and down, no more than 1" wide. Plus they are parallel to the border of the fan, meaning they arent really covering any flow because the flow stops anyway when it hits the borders of the fan shroud, if that makes sense I can make brackets, but it wont look as clean nor will it suck up the shroud as tight to the radiator...hmmm...I have time so i'll think about it
  12. Can I really use the DAT106 jtr mount? Some say yes, some say no, JTR says probably not If i fabricate my own, what is the best thing to attach it to? Should it bolt in, or weld in? (the only thing i would be willing to make is a straight style crossmember) Do I tie it to the frame rails? What does the jtr mount tie to? I put a urathane tranny mount on the t56 with the 2 studs coming out. Gotta get something by the end of the week to get that sucker in there.
  13. I just send out my harness to lt1350 to get edited, he is a cool guy, for the money, its worth it after i spoke to him They go through the whole harness, replace up to 4 bad plugs(which i may have as it has a few burns on the harness from the fire the donor car was in), then they reloom it, run all the wires i need to plug into the datsun, also leads for electric gauges, also an obd port and even a check engine light, also wires for fuel pump and fan with relays, not bad at all. Not bad for the money, and it will be done next week. If i can control this flexalite fan with the computer somehow, I will, not sure how to wire it though as its setup to run on its own, im sure i'll figure it out. So, can someone confirm which way the water flows on the lt1 pump? In on the passanger side bottom, out on the driver side top??
  14. QUESTION: My fan, spal black magic 150 i think it is, has a temp sensor built onto it that reads the radiator. Should i wire it up for it to use its own sensor as it is, or wire it to where the lt1 ecu controls the fans just like in a stock z28??? Also, they say to place the fan on so that the sensor is on the side where the hot water enters. I believe the lt1 is reverse flow, and it fills the radiator up from the passenger side on the bottom, and fills it up, flows to the top and comes out on the drivers side at the top correct??? Because my sensor is placed on the passenger side currently. Thanks
  15. how much would an 8 point roll cage help? Thats what im getting and Im hoping, along with safety, it will tie the car together nicely for my estimated 400ft/lb of torque out of my lt1... Now, i wonder whats gonna happen when I hit the spray??? lol
