  5. ^^ interesting why does that look so much like something thats not supposed to be there then? I think you right too I can stick my fingers through a hole in there to where the bottom of the distributor comes through. I think iam going to pickup a book on caddy motors.
  6. weird... iam going to poor water in where the thermostat was and see if it comes out that hole. it just looks wrong and out of place.
  7. Iam not 100% sure on the flow I was reading the tutorial on 500cid.com And iam thinking ill probly save the heads for now atleast.

  9. apperntly your supposed to swap these heads onto the 472/500 because it raises the compresson and Ill probly look for a 472/500 but this one came up free as running! so i drove an hour each way to pick it up oh well. the head info is on 500cid.com if you guys want to read it.

I started pulling the motor apart yesterday and as I was taking accesories and stuff off I noticed that half the bolts arnt tight or anything and once I got the intake and that kinda crap off and almost had the heads off I realized there was a big ass hole in the casting... like 2.5x2.5 inches goes right into the cavity where the water pump is.. basically iam thinking the guy took it apart realized it was crap and he didnt have the means to move it so put it back together and gave it away as RUNNING. which piss's me off Iam considering driving back out there and dropping it in his driveway. heres some pics Iam seriously mad waste of like 3 hours picking it up and moving it and all that. Iam wondering if its possible to weld this up, you can get cast rod think its even worth a shot?
  11. hahahahahaah I love that "Ground Zero landscape re-design specialists" awesome and I saw the polishing pads with wear indicators Ill probly get a few sets and some cross drilled brake lines for EXTRA safety.

  16. thanks guys. I couldnt get it into my garage was to heavy to push up the little slope and I didnt have enough room! So sometime this week iam going to disassemble the whole thing and bring it in piece by piece.

  19. I secured a caddy 425 that was pulled for some kind of engine swap thats still running but I know nothing about these at all. Iam checkin google right now for info on them. Is it good for anything? what kinda trannys can I bolt up that kinda stuff? Ohh yes and the best part was its FREE.. iam thinking some kind of crazy hotrod or something I dont know ideas thoughts INFO? please an thank ya..
