  1. I was going to order the kameari manifold but saw this and bingo! Saved another couple hundred bucks. Besides cars not running yet and I need to put some finishing touches on the motor before continuing on the body. I dont mind waiting
  2. Seller got back to me, ill recieve it within 1-2 weeks.
  3. Good deal. 400 right? I saw the site, maybe an hour drive for me.
  4. I show you the Z...but it's still being built up lol
  5. I'd like to know what the price would be as well. Is the fitment like this Z? Not sure what size wats these are, but I love the look!
  6. Lookin good takashi. Can't wait to see it on the road Have you thought about having a shop paint the car? Shop near me charges around 900 for the cheapest paint job. It's not maaco.
  7. Im going to finish it up and run it. I have the extra gasket, so I'll be holding on to that incase I need it. Im waiting on my oil pump middle gasket which should be here by thur.
  8. It's been awhile since I've posted. But I keep on truckin...at a slow pace Ive been working on the motor, which is about done. I was having some doubts after I bolted the head down to the block, some oil started leaking down the sides of the block. The only oil used in the rebuild was the grease for the installation of the cam and the oiling of the head bolts. The block was the only part not needing to be taken apart and rebuilt, it was perfect when I pulled the motor apart, the head was the issue. My only guess as to where maybe any extra oil came from was the holes for the head bolts in the block...I had the block upside down for almost this whole build. Here is the motor finally bolted down When I pulled the motor...actually when I got the car, i saw a pretty good oil leak on/all around the oil pump. I cleaned all the oil off around the pump to try and find the source, everything looked good, until I checked the gasket in the middle of the pump, pretty old and needs a new gasket. That is on order along with a new oil pressure sender and bulbs for my dash. I emailed the paint shop, hoping to get them to come to the house to give me a quote on the work I need done. I'll make a video soon and post it up
  9. Im just making sure this is not something that can't ruin my hg. Thats kind of harsh... I haven't been sloppy with the build, and have followed the directions on the rebuild Only thing I didn't have to do is rebuild the bottom end since it was just fine. I can get the oil pump hooked up and spin it to see what it looks like. Im ordering a new spray bar from Larry once I get his new contact info. Thanks for the info guys, I'll get back to it and see what it looks like and let you know how it goes.
  10. Would that be to see if it leaks out the sides?
  11. No i havent run the motor yet. I started freaking out when I saw the oil start leaking from the sides. I only put the little grease on the cam during rocker install and a little on the head bolts. Just wondering if I have to remove the head and switch out the head gasket.
  12. Sorry about the non photos. I was having some issues with my camera. Here's the photos on both sides of the block, I followed the directions torquing each bolt in 20 ft pounds increments up to 61ft pounds. I haven't separated the head and block until I hear from some members on here. I have ordered a new HG just in case I do for sure have to switch out the gasket.
  13. I just finished bolting the head down and a few minutes later I see an oil leak down the sides of the block. It can only be from the oil from installing the cam and rockers, or the little oil I put on the head bolts. Should I be worried about this? Or am I going to have to restart?
  14. It seemed to be better yesterday, it was really hot outside so in the garage it was quiet warm. I think it is the assembly lube, I may just add a bit of regular oil and see if thats the case. I was kind of freaking out since I wasn't sure how smooth it should be spinning, and I was originally trying to spin it without the cam sprocket, it was more difficult trying to spin a cam with a slightly greasy hand.

  16. Nope. But I can try after warming up the lube and see if that makes a difference.
  17. The lube is very viscous, almost tacky like. What I can donis get my heat gone and warm it up a bit. Or move my table in the sun a bit since its very hot today and see if the cam turns easier from warmed up semi synthetic lube. The cam towers havent been removed, I got the head from a member on here. I just had it cleaned then reinstalled the valve train.
  18. m rebuilding and ran into s predicament. After using lucas semi synthetic lube for the cam install, I thought it would spin smoothly...butbit doesnt, takes some effort to spin. Any ideas on whata going on? My rockers are still in boxes, so nothing is blocking the cam. Heres a short video of the problem. Thanks for your help ahead of time
  19. Been really busy at work the last few weeks, with no employees to help out I've been having to go in on my day off for some OT. This week was the Maddies adoption event. All pet adoptions are free to qualified homes, getting all the animals fixed and everything else has had me at work 12-13 hours with only a few min to eat my lunch, then back to work. I need to get the ball rolling!!! Update: Since im going to have to pull out the rear suspension when I install the new break and fuel lines, I'm going to be getting TTT suspension set up and start looking for a Subi LSD Diff. May as put all the god stuff in instead of build up little by little. It will push the car back longer but then I don't have to worry later on switching out the diff or suspension.
  20. Nice Man! Are you going to have to cut the fenders to get those Wats to fit or use spacers?
  21. VIdeo is up! It took me awhile to make this video since my wife kept bringing things to paint in the garage and took my whole free area. My head bolts, oil pan screws, and timing cover bolt kit are all on the way to my house. I have my gasket kit, rocker arms, timing kit and engine block painted. My wife may have thrown away the business card of the paint shop near me(booooo). Im trying to schedule them to come see the car for a quote, but its normally on a monday and I'm not off on mondays unfortunately... Once I have the motor put together I'll be ordering my special part I've been dreaming about. It will bring me one step closer to getting the car on the road, I'll be able to use it when I go for a performance build Kameari Intake manifold.
